It's Official, '07 Saints worst Saints Team Ever!
 

I say they're the worst Saints team ever because we never had a team with this much talent and played so pathetic. This offense is so terrible, from the play calling to the players I don't realistically see a victory coming anytime soon. The Panthers gave them the game on a silver platter several times, and being the generous jacka$$e$ they are they just gave it back to them. It is a on going joke these days that our GREAT LSU TIGERS could beat the pants off the Saints, well after seeing the Tigers play Saturday and the Saints play today I no longer consider it a joke, IT'S FREAKIN' REALITY! You can officially turn off the lights because the party's over, the fat lady has sung, the final curtain was drawn, Elvis has left the building, you can feel free to insert your favorite cliche'. I just hope they don't end up winning to many crappy games and end up getting crappy position in the draft, DAMN, this is the most disappointing team I've ever seen in a Saints uniform, PERIOD!

I expect the Saints to finish last in the NL South. I've seen all four teams play, and the Saints are the worst of the weak NL South.

No need to get excited about 2007, it's over.

Well, putting on paper bags would disrespect the few guys on the team that actually compete and earn their pay checks, Karney, Weatherford, Colston, to name a very few, come to think about it, that's about it. So, no I won't break out the bags for those guys, as for the rest of them, they need to wear the bags themselves to cover their shame for what they are doing to the DIE HARD FANS.

I don't think this is the worst team ever. The 1 and 15 season was pretty bad, and the 2005 version was pretty depressing. I do think we're all pissed because there was so much hope here, but now because of all the dropped balls and INT's to nowhere, we might bust up our favorite team of all time- the team that went to the NFC championship.

It's hard to buy a jersey, hard to know how we feel etc. because we loved this team so much last year, and this year it's like they can do almost nothing right.

I think that's what BlackSaint is trying to say. I think the thread should be named "most disappointing Saints Team ever..."

But I also agree, how are we going to win 1 single game playing like this? I just don't see anyone playing with this much inconsistency in the NFL.

In no way, would I ever bust out a paper bag. I am a die-hard through and through and I am just as pissed off as all of you (the true fans), but I am still proud to be a Saints fan and in no way would I disrespect the team like that. That's just me. Honestly, what good does a damn paper bag do? Hide your face because you are ashamed to be a Saints fan? I think this could be a good thing that we a losing. Then I might be able to get some tickets from a bandwagoner.

Bush did pretty good today. What the hell is wrong with Henderson. He is dropping balls like their on fire. Brees should look for Moore,Patten,and Colston from now on. Players and coaches that sucked.

The coaching was very naive. Look I am sure that I am not one of the best educated on American Football. But the Saints were not playing the basics well, and were oh so predictable. I was calling it in the Chat room.

1st down Reggie rush
2nd down pass.

I checked the playbook.

11 times that was the play for the 1st 2 downs.
22 plays in all out of how many.

Sheesh! Who needs a New England type spy to work out the Saints? Maybe our coaches do.

Mind you, our wonderful coach did fool me with the Weatherford 4th down play. And he also fooled me by not punching a second TD via Karney. Karney did it the first time. Heck if it works why not go again? Nah! mess it up until that dark subconscious of doom surfaces - (Night)Mare.

Tell me - in professional sports - what do you do if you are injured to the extent you will underperform to the detriment of the team? YOU DO NOT PLAY. Stand the Saints organization and explain Mare. If the guy wasn't injured, then he is bloody useless. Missed how many this season? 4 out of 7 or am I exaggerating. Where is this strong leg?

I cannot believe that Carolina got the "W" today. Carolina never played. The Saints, oh the Saints. We gave it to them. And I really do not understand why.

Oh sure, we have talent. Not quite as much as some would like to believe. Colston at WR, then who else? OK at RB we have options but they are poorly utilized. Poor Reggie. No need to waste him. We have others - just tell them to step up. The O-line - you are our weakest link. Or is our secondary the weakest link? Anyways, as I said we do have talent but not SB calibre. And for that I point to the organization and ask what was done to improve the areas of need.

Worst...... nah you must not have been a saints fan to long this isn't the worst saints team..... there have been some horrible years this team has had..... One thing I have noticed Drew Brees isn't playing good at all now the line hasn't been too good this year but today Brees wasn't making good throws the 1st int. the 2nd wasn't his fault.... and I have been wondering why saints haven't been playing henderson too much this season well he got a chance today and now i know why...... I thought the D did good today i think our offense is the worst on this team the D is better IMO maybe Payton should let somebody else to the play calling and how about we give those draft picks some playing time on the line it can't get much worse....

I'm not a fake ass fan like you and ole Darth. My faith is still there as it's been there for over 25 years, but that don't change the reality and reality is, this is the worst Saints team ever. And I mean that from an overall talent perspective and overall expectations, that 1 - 15 team didn't have the talent or the expectations as this team. And Euph, I'm dissapointed as hell in my home town team, but that don't mean I giving up on them, I've been doing this for a long, long time, and I will be doing this for a long time to come. You won't hear that bag talk for this fan, but I will be venting some frustration, you better believe that my friend, so please don't get it twisted.

It's been a long time since Ive been called a young pup. But you guys are missing my point. So let's analyze this for a second, this is the same exact offense that led the league in total offense with 6,264 yards, #1 in passing yards (4,503), #1 in passing yds. per game (281.4), fourth in TD's (49), fifth in points (413) and points per game [25.8], along with 330 first downs. This is the same team that went to the NFC Championship Game, won the NFC South and had a freaking first round bye. Now this exact same offense with a new pass catching TE has a total of 5 TD's in 4 games, a 2006 Pro Bowl, All Pro and second in MVP voting QB with 1 passing TD and 9 interceptions in 4 games. This same offense haven't scored more than 14 points in any of their games this season and have been blown out of each game except one (Carolina) in which the offense had several chances to run away with the game and couldn't even score three points to put the game away. Now I know that this is not the worst overall team in our history (duh), but no team in our history has ever accomplished so much the year before and look so inept and pathetic the next, hell excluding the Mora era, we never had nowhere near the talent that this team possess. Even when you add in the Mora era , we still had to over come an extremely predictable offense, the Joe Montana-Steve Young led 49ers, the Jim Everett led Rams, and those crazy ass Jerry Glanville led dirty birds of Atlanta to even come close to the expectations of this version of the New Orleans Saints. So again, FROM THE TALENT AND EXPECTATIONS aspects of this team, this is the worst team in our history, this is just my opinion and only mine. I just never seen a team that did that much the year before and accomplish absolutely nothing the next year, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Forget about in our history, but in the history of the NFL, I just don't remember a team dropping down this far without any major injuries or changes to the overall starting personnel(and they looked really bad before the injury to Deuce), so I hope I cleared it up for a few of you guys out there. Again, the reason that I think this is the worst Saints team ever is that they were suppose to be the best team we ever had in the history of our franchise.
