What i've learned through the first 4 games....
is that even if the Saints went 16-0 there are members of this board that wouldn't be happy if it weren't done their way. They'd be much better General Managers and coachs than the Saints have.;)

Re: What i've learned through the first 4 games....
You know what I've learned?
Bush isn't there yet Brees is a bigger part of the problem than most want to admit Our corners continue to suck Our o-line got Brooks run out of town...Brees may be next Bin Laden (or whatever his name is) should get a shot to start Palko should get some playing time Thomas should get to play more We should trade Stecker while we still can for any defensive player...yes, any We should trade our entire draft next year for two offensive lineman (ok, just kidding) Payton is clearly married to Brees and they should both be run off (ok, just kidding again) Ok, so I'm mostly kidding because I'm bitter about waiting all off season for this poo. Let's chat again when we're 0-5 |

Re: What i've learned through the first 4 games....
Bush is not a feature back...
Brees pro bowl injury is affecting him..... our o line was overrated.... we shoulda drafted Olsen the TE.... We should start usama young.... the team ran off an emotional high last year.... put meachem on the field, what do we have to lose..... when u get to the 5 yd line, run the damn ball up the middle 4 times..... basically, OH NO we suck again........ Pierre thomas a shot at feature back, reggie back 2 last years role..... |
Re: What i've learned through the first 4 games....
Deuce was a bigger part of this offense than many people gave him credit for...
Brees is playing hurt... Bush is a situational back and still isn't able to run North/ South... Simoneau has nude pics of Payton with some farm animals... The defensive coordinator hasn't made ANY adjustments since the season's start... Payton refuses to leave the deep pass in his bag of tricks until he can establish crossing patterns and a short yardage run game... Karney, Simmons, Young and a few others are underused... And we're...ummm.... not good. |

He never will be and here is why: He never was one. How can you expect someone to be something he never was. USC he was not a feature back get real people. He is a sports car that sales jerseys and all you toads bought into it. Is Bush ok, is he going to make some great plays sure he will but dependable, carry the team on his shoulders NO WAY IN HELL. There are these guys see and he needs them... they are what they call Offensive linemen. Ours are horrible and have been for years they over achieved one year and not WELCOME to reality for not addressing it from the get go. |

Re: What i've learned through the first 4 games....
The things I've learned through the first four games is really the stuff I've always known, just never want to admit it though. I will give you guys a run down:
1) Always have another team to root for, because eventually things always get ugly when the only team in your heart is the Saints. 2) Never, ever, think that the Saints are going to improve from one year to the next. Just be thankful that you had a decent year to cheer for them, because a bad year is about to come. 3) Never have a physical exam during a Saints season. Wait until the season is at least 3 weeks over. There is no need to be diagnosed with high blood pressure, liver disorder, or any of that other stuff that comes from excessive drinking while coping with watching Saints football. 4) Find alternative ways to cope with stress. Keep an empty beer can by your side and crush it, it may prevent a direct strike at the TV. For the guys who have those expensive TV's, like LCD and Plasma, I know you guys do not want permanent damage to the set. My Sears special has seen many of empty beer cans tossed at it during Saints games. Oh, well, my bad. That damn TV keeps on going... LOL 5) Just keep slugging beer. Nothing like being forgetful on Monday Morning. Many times folks have asked me "Hey, what's up with the Saints", and I have no answer. I just look at them. It's really none of their business, and I am still pissed off from drinking all day on Sunday. 6) There is a wonderful drug that really helps the next day. Ever watch a Saints game and get pissed, and also drink too much crap? Well, that green box of BC is a lifesaver. Gets the grit out of your mouth and the pain out of your head... Got totally screwed up and that stuff put me back on my feet many times... GEE... |
Re: What i've learned through the first 4 games....
Screw BC...I need some crack to deal with this season.

Re: What i've learned through the first 4 games....
Our WR's cannot get open and drop too many when they do.
Our QB is frustrated, maybe hurt. No back-up. Our OL ?????? Our RB's are inexperienced. Our DL cannot get pressure. Our LB's still suck. Our DB's are second stringers. Special teams are not special anymore. |
Re: What i've learned through the first 4 games....
1) Payton's offense was a surprise last year... and it hasn't changed a bit since then (i.e. no longer suprising anyone)
2) Bush is better between the tackles than running stretch plays or turning it outside. 3) Brees's arm may be gone. He might have pushed it too hard too soon back from injury last year. 4) There are too many dramatic gestures off the field for a football team ("burying" last season, empy bandwagon, "exhuming", etc.) This is football, not the drama club. Get tough. 5) It seems like the favorite players of the coaching staff are playing when their betters sit on the bench. (Be "popular" with the coaches and play, be unpopular and don't.) 6) "Team Chemistry" seems more important to the coaches than making plays and success on the field. |
