Dale Carter Changes Everything

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Dale Carter from all indications is back to his old form. IMO, this absolutely changes everything for the Saints defense. Having a shutdown corner allows a defense to do so much. Rememeber what the Cowboy's defense was able to do ...

Dale Carter Changes Everything

Dale Carter from all indications is back to his old form. IMO, this absolutely changes everything for the Saints defense. Having a shutdown corner allows a defense to do so much. Rememeber what the Cowboy's defense was able to do with Deion taking away one side of the field?

Right now there are possibly two probowl players in the secondary, in Dale Carter and Tebucky Jones. The other secondary players: Mel Mitchell, Ashley Ambrose, Fred Thomas, and Keyou Craver also appear to be impressive so far.

With Grant and Howard on the outside and Sullivan and Kenny Smith/Grady Jackson on the inside, this defense has a chance to do something special.

Hopefully the defensive backs can make the QB hold the ball that extra second or so and allow our D-Line to get to the QB.

Here's what Haslett had to say about Dale Carter:

One of the key players on the defensive side, according to Haslett, is CB Dale Carter. "You can truly see that he is enjoying being here," Haslett said. "He is having fun at training camp for the first time in a while because of the highs and lows over the last few years. He is the one guy out there who truly appreciates the game of football."

Carter has impressed Haslett with his physical conditioning and talent. "He is an unbelievable athlete," said Haslett. "You can forget his age. You can forget everything else. He can go out there right now and play wide receiver. He can play a number of different positions. He is in great shape. He weighs 194 with four percent body fat. If he stays healthy, then I don't see why he can't be one of the best corners in the league."

For all you nay sayers, show me where I'm wrong....I'm sure you will. Bring it on.
