A win next week against the Falcons will get me and a lot of fans excited again...

I'm happy with the win but the play calling in the 4th quarter was terrible. And don't tell me he was trying to burn up the clock. Fine, you try it one or twice, when it doesn't work, you change it. First downs at that point of the game wins games, not run,run. pass, punt.

Getting a kicker by next week would help beat the Falcons. The Saints have a history of close games with Atlanta. I noticed tonight that Weatherford had to punt from the Seattle 35. That really screws up his punt yardage average but it shows other teams that the Saints have a much longer field since they cannot kick a field goal. I sincerely hope Sean Payton does the right thing this week...hire a kicker.

agreed but at least he waited until 4th 1/4 - we get the 4th and 5 - we go three and out
we recover the onside kick three and out
we get an interception - 3 and out.

one or two first downs in any of those "drives" would have sealed the deal much erlier
