Henderson ??? what happen
Devery Henderson
Did he finally buy his ticket out of town. He dropped the only pass he was thrown and then leaves with an injury. Hate to see it because I like the guy but he has pretty much been comitting profesional suicide all year. Even though I like him I hope he doesn't get any more passes thrown his way. He's just not any good. Oh yeah he did catch a pass.....that he was out of bounds |
Re: Henderson ??? what happen
Devery is a bad number 2 WR...he's great at what he does, stretching the field and making big plays from the slot position. i knew it was gonna make him look terrible when they said they wanted to make him the number 2 receiver.

Did the Seahawk fans know something about Henderson????

Re: Henderson ??? what happen
The way he catches,He would make a good d-back.Atleast he would still have a j-o-b.

I think every team in the NFL knows Henderson has problems catching... Maybe he can improve and play at least as good as he did last year, it sure would be nice to have a speedy WR to spread out a defense.. |
Re: Henderson ??? what happen
i think we should use him for wr screens and reverses!
|
Re: Henderson ??? what happen
He couldn't catch a screen and I bet he would fumble if we gave him a reverse.
Why are we not playing our number 1 draft pick. Can he really be that much worse that Henderson. If he is then this was the most wasted draft in Saints history since the Sullivan debacle. |
Re: Henderson ??? what happen
I've lost all faith in him. For every long TD he catches he drops 5 would have been first down passes.
It's like this (but coaches don't believe it): It doesn't matter how fast a guy is. It doesn't matter how tall he is. It doesn't matter how smart he is. IF HE CAN"T CATCH, HE WILL NOT BE A GOOD WR. Henderson cannot catch. Bottom Line. |
Re: Henderson ??? what happen
I thought Patten made a good case for himself Sunday. Devery drops everything on the feild, but he waits till he's out of bounds and makes a spectacular grab.

Re: Henderson ??? what happen
Bobby Hebert said on WWL a few days ago--They are called wide receivers not wide droppers. If you can't catch, you are worthless as a receiver. Maybe he can get some help from the receivers Coach??????? I remember something about Colston catching a ball with a spiral or paint on the end so he had something to "look" at while catching.

Re: Henderson ??? what happen
Use Devery as a decoy to stretch the defense....teams have to respect the deep threat his speed represents. Take a shot or two every game...he has made big plays on the deep ball and it keeps the defense honest. Run the reserve with him as well. Otherwise, play Lance Moore. Dude catches everything! Colston, Patten and Moore works just fine. Don't forget our best receiver is Bush...

Re: Henderson ??? what happen
Well, I love Devery. I don't know what his real deal is. It would appear, he has played his way out of New Orleans. I do agree, that he is not a number 2, and is better at the 3 spot. As for the previous poster, I do not think Devery is a decent decoy anymore. He leads the league in drops and no one respects that. I hope Devery gets it together so he can contribute to the Saints this year, but I really hope he gets it together for the long run of his career. There is still hope for him!

Re: Henderson ??? what happen
The key to this offense is the ability (or perceived ability) to throw down the field. The OL must give Drew time to throw deep 3-5 times a game. That will keep the safeties honest and open up the short passes and running game. Devery is the only one so far that can do that. Meachum (if he ever gets on the field) may do it, as well.

Re: Henderson ??? what happen
It seems like he's distracted, not looking the ball all the way in, trying to do something else before he has secured the rock. Colston has had the drop-sies also, just not as bad as Henderson, and then he makes a catch or two to help us forget the drop. I think its mental. He has showed us that he CAN catch, he just hasn't shown us lately. I hope that he can work out whatever he is going through and get back to the place where he can be our deep threat and help contribute to our success.
