Agree on Jacksonville. Not so sure about Philly or the Bears.

Truthfully our focus needs to be on division games. We get each of our division foes for another round this season. It is imperative that we secure wins in each of those games. A winning division record will go a long way towards the team's success this season.

I always see the season in terms of the groupings against the other segments we play during the season. Let's recap:

Division: We really needed that Carolina game. We need to finish the sweep against the Falcons and split with the Bucs and the Cats to be successful in this group. Yes that means going 3-0 in the division down the stretch.

AFC South: Best division in football by far. They will continue to pound on our division. We can actually steal one away if we can find a way against Jacksonville. I don't expect anyone else in our division to break .500 against this group. I hope against hope to break even but frankly would be satisfied if we split the remaining two games.

NFC West: Weak sisters of the poor. Every game against this group is vital. We're off to a good start taking out Seattle on the road. We need to continue by being stout against the run and pressuring whoever SF props up at QB next week. The team needs to plan on sweeping this group starting next week.

Other #1s from last year: Nothing short of two wins against both Chicago and Philly are acceptable. Look at yesterday's game for evidence. And with a 0-4 start, we'll probably need both in order to move forward.

So to sum up:

Division: 4-2 (nothing else acceptable at this point)
AFCS: 1-3 (2-2 ideal)
NFCW: 4-0 (3-1 probably close to reality)
#1s: 2-0 (nothing else acceptable)

Total: 11-5 (anywhere from 10-6 to 8-8 probably closer to reality)

It may be enough.

Here's Hoping

Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good.
