Wow!!!

If the 49ers are a sinking ship then the Falcons have already sunk. I can't believe the Falcons wouldn't cut Hall after all of these comments. Although, he is there best defender.

I hope the Falcons have enough professional pride to turn in good performances against TB and Carolina. That's all I really care about.

It would be great to get Hall from the Falcons.

I'm not sure....0-4 and none of our players put blame on anyone else as far as i know...
just saying if we had these types of players we could very well be 0-6

Re: Wow!!!

Management would never cut Hall. He's too important to their team and one of the premiere corners in the league... though, maybe a little overhyped.

I beg to differ. I understand he is talented but he has evolved into a total punk. All he does now a days is get in recievers faces and try to instigate. Then when he gets his a** burned he turns into a 5-year old and gets you like 60 yards in penalties. Sunday against us he must have gotten into our reciever's faces like 3 or 4 times. That guy is nothing but a headache. Don't want him in black and gold.

Re: Wow!!!

I'll be a big Colts and Jacksonville fan this weekend, Colts play the Panthers and the Bucs play Jacksonville this Sunday, I'm sure I'll be a Falcon fan for a couple of games this year. (Bucs-Panther games)
Hall isn't going anywhere IMO but if the Saints had a chance to sign him I don't think Sean would want a person as Hall even though he's a great player, Hall is becoming a cancer to the Falcon organization it seems.

Re: Wow!!!

At 1-6, I'd be *****ing, too. There was no reason to cut Grady that I can see. And to cut him for a rookie 6th rounder? Petrino has lost it. I say dangle a 2nd round pick out there and see if the Falcons bite. Hell, give'em David.

Would you rather have Grady or Lake right now?

And while we're pilfering their D, see what they want for Boley, too.

I hate to say it but...........it'll never happen! He's not a Payton kind of player. Payton would look at him as to much trouble even as good as he may be. Yes, we sure could use a player of his caliber on the corner but it won't be him.

Re: Wow!!!

No, he likes the really nice guys, like Simoneau and Freddie Thomas, whether or not they can play or not.

I think coach could keep him in line. He has FIRE. But I know he's be coming a well know punk around the league. Sad he is a good player.

Well..."Payton Kind of players" Cant Cover.

I'm wouldn't mind hall at all. Moss was said not to be a good fit for the Pats...and we see how thats going. Being a kind of coach guy is so much of an overly used non factor.

But I do see your point.

While I was on my way home from work today, Fujita was on Sirius NFL radio. They pointed out to Scott that of all the teams that started out bad this year, we are the only team that has not complained, pointed fingers, calling out coaches, management or anything. That's saying something about the character of your football team. It's admirable. This team is sticking together and believe they can turn it around. It also credits the leaders of this team. It just pumped me up know what kind of individuals we have on our team. All it take is one person to screw that up, which is why I pass on Hall because he definately that type of guy.

...are they really Payton's kind of players?

They were here before him and I don't think he's been able to find better. I seriously don't think its the players (DB) SO MUCH as it is the style and defensive playbook. Its the man to man that kills us with no serious day in day out pressure. You can't give any QB/WR combo enough time and man to man coverage at that... thats suicide!

"Hell I can cover Randy Moss for 1 maybe 2 yards but after that I am lost by a mile." (you can quote me on this one, lol).

The Pats took a gamble on Moss. They are winning and he's getting the ball. Really, the jury is still out. Moss didn't work for the Vikings or the Raiders. Maybe the third time is a charm. He is older compared to Hall and he's out to win a championship now. Maybe he's done playing for himself. T.O. didn't work out for the 49ers or the Eagles which he was also younger at the time. Cowboys and the Pats seem like the only teams that can handle hot-headed trouble makers such as T.O. Moss, Dillon, Sanders, and now Tank Johnson gets a shot.

I love Hall's play as a player, but hate him as a person...he's a personal foul and a fine waiting to happen. Besides, he taller than 5'8 and expensive....not exactly our player in that regard either

OK, now this is gonna hurt. Damn, I have to agree with you Euph, I think it's the style of defense too. Why they don't go to more of a zone befuddles me.

cadilacin,

Man, you got me there, but I really think (as stupid as this is going to sound) that Randy has changed. Maybe he finally has a coach and QB he likes. He sure has toned his mouth down. Him and T.O. both. There is hope for the world!

Re: Wow!!!

First let's clear something up about Hall, he never was a problem when JM jr was the coach. Second, Hall is just being brutally honest, and a lot of the veteran Falcon players feel the same way. I would like to know why is Hall the bad guy when Crumpler said the exact same thing? Maybe, it's Patrino that's really the problem, I mean, you sign Joey Harrington to be your starter, that alone is a head scratcher, then you sign Byron Leftwich, bench Harrington and name Leftwich the starter for the remainder of the season. Then along come the Saints, aaaaand, DOW GOES LEFTWICH, DOWN GOES LEFTWICH, and now you have to eat crow because you have to turn to the same guy you just bench a few days earlier, sad, sad, sad. If any of you guys don't think that, that has an effect on the entire team, then think again. Patrino is not an NFL Coach period, now you go and cut Grady Jackson, a very popular player and leader on the team, with no type of credible explanation to the players. Those are the moves of a college coach, and his veteran players are not going to stand by and allow it to happen. Patrino's decision making has destroyed the Falcons, just think if Sean Payton would have made those same moves as Patrino, we would've lost our minds last year. I think Grady Jackson would be one hell of an addition to our D-Line, him and "BIG BANQUET" would be so devastating, it's not like he was cut for not performing, he was on top of his game, I don't care what y'all say, I would rather see Grady in Saints B&G than Carolina blue or Tampa Bay pewter, and as for Hall, please Patrino give him up I'd take him in a heart beat.

Man, I gotta agree with you on most of it. It's never just one persons fault. I was surprised when Patrino was named head coach to start with. Maybe Hall is getting a bad rap, but to me he sure isn't doing anything to change it. Get out there and play, your mouth only gets you in trouble. My Dad always told me "Son, in life, never tell anyone what you can do. Get your ass out there and show them." That's exactly what I tried to do.
Believe it or not I even try(though unsuccessfully) to live by my own signature lines on here.

Randy didn't change. Remember when the Viks went 15-1? Did you ever hear anything out of Randy? Randy was playing for Art Shell in Oakland. That team had no hope of going anywhere that season. Al Davis knew it that's why he hire Art - as a bandaid. Randy wants to win.

Same goes for this ATL situation. After cutting Grady (7th on the team in tackles, first in tackles for loss), the Falcons have 3 reserve linemen. He kept Montavious Stanley - a Louisville boy - over his most productive DT. How does that make sense? The only explanation is that he's trying to tank the season. We should be crying foul on Petrino for intentionally losing, not Hall for calling him out on it.
