Nice game by them boys. Drew is back in form. Reggie is running and scaring defenses again. The Defense has been very good against the run. We making alot of plays. AND FINALY...Welcome back Colston.

I would actually like to welcome back Drew more so than Colston.
He had an amazing game and all but one pass was on the money. His passes to Colston were so dead on that my one armed 75 year old uncle could have caught the ball.
Colston is great but we live and die by Drew.

During the game they said that coach Payton sent Drew a text message saying that he couldn't think of any other QB in the NFL than him to bring the team back to winning..
Brees said he really felt good with the text because that showed him Sean has a lot of confident in him..
I think Drew is back, showed today with Colston having 3 TD's.

I'm not really bubbling over with this one. A win is a Win is a WIN, but it just looked too easy to me...tooooo easy...very dangerous. Glad to see us not struggle for a change, and maybe that's the carry over that makes this one taste bitter sweet. We beat a team that has been playing worse than we were. We should have beat the 9ners, convincingly, and we did. Good job - but let's not kick back and put it on cruise. We've got a long way to go.

As easy as this game was today I still won't "kick back", but if we beat the Jacksonville I'll be a little more excited as to what's going on with the Saints.

Has colston scored a touchdown before today? I didn't get to see last weeks game but I'm pretty sure he hasn't scored any others. Today he got his chance to show off his colors. I'm damn proud of what this team is turning into. But, and I've said this before, they need to start stepping it up in the second half. But no more complaining bout that mark up the big W on the board :P

Don't poke the hornet's nest. The fact is except for possibly the Carolina game, the Saints are continuing to evolve into we thought they were. They are beating the teams that they are supposed to beat. They are still strugging against tough physical defenses. The defensive line (which Euph complains about) still isn't getting enough pressure on the opposing QB.

That said we are back in it. After fast starts both Carolina and Tampa have hit the skids in the second quarter of the season. The AFC South is the best division in football and they are streakbusting the NFC South whenever they meet.

Next week will be a good test for our improvements:

1) Jacksonville is committed to running the ball. The Saints have improved on rush defense. Let's see if it holds.

2) The Jags have a tough punishing defense that the current Saints offense tends to struggle against. Let see how the offense holds up next week.

If we had won the Carolina game I wouldn't be as pressed about this game as I currently am. But we need it going into the a home stretch that could possibly result in the Saints being one of the hottest teams in the NFC going into the playoffs.

Yes, I don't have a stat sheet infront of me, but I think he had 2 coming into this game. I can't remember who the first one was against. Then, he had one last week against the Falcons.

Colston had a couple of TDs before yesterday's game.

All the Saints needs from all of their receivers is for them to catch the ball when it hits them in the hands. Both Colston and Henderson stepped up yesterday. Even Copper got in and snagged a TD pass.

I like the receiving by committee. It means there isn't a single receiver that a defense can expect to shut down and lock down our offense. Any of Colston, Patton, Moore, Henderson, or Copper (along with Bush and Stecker in pass patterns) can be a significant threat to defenses.

But worry wart me still is concerned about the run game. Coach Payton still needs to commit to it more. I still want to see more of PT23. Bush has lately been getting well more than 5 YPC. Even Stecker looked better in the latter stages of the game. But Coach doesn't seem to realize that the Oline and RBs can get into a rhythm carring the ball if he'd let them do it more consistently. I think it needs to be more data driven where as long as the safeties are hanging back and the the LBs are dropping back into coverage to pound the rock. Then when they step up, it's time for play action over the top.

Great game, a pleasure to watch. I think there are two school's of thought about a game like yesterday; I prefer the one that focuses on the fact that we're getting better at almost everything in every game. The other side still sees those things we need to improve (I see them too), but I love the ongoing improvement and that's what I'll take away from a game like this.

Great win. Thought the way they finished was great. I don't have anyone to complain about (including Mare, and David). Very, Very happy with the win.

JAX will be the test to see if we are "really" back. If they play like they did at SF, we should be fine.

Great game, great past three weeks to be a Saint fan.!

I always thought it is a talented line...just took em 3 games to wake up.

Reggie was over 6 yards per carry.

Very good line production. They gon' have to step it up against this Jacksonville D-line...I think there are one of the top 2 in the league (depending on who you ask).

I also think reggie is ready to for a 21 to 25 carry game. His vision is picking up.

To win the division all we will need is 7 more wins but I would love it if we could win out the rest of the way and with our schedule it's entirely possible. Toughest game is this weekend against the Jags or against Philly in December both at home.

Carolina's schedule will eat them alive the rest of the way and they will finish 7-9 and the Falcons are headed for a 3-13 campaign.

Buccaneers are the only competition and they still a schedule comparable to ours. So it will be down to the finish unless we can win 8 or 9.

They played much better this week with FAINE OUT. Hmmm, interesting. Sometimes you can give credit to offensive production to the O-line and sometimes its your backs making up for the lack of an offensive line. The past two games before this one it was the backs making up for it. 49ers though they did play much better and its interesting that Faine wasn't apart of it.
