Is the Rams game really a gimmie?

I don't want to be looking past JAX by any means, but I do see alot of; "next couple of games a wins". Given the Saint history, this organization has done alot of "history making" for other teams in the past. No, I can't name them all, but if you have been a fan for a length of time you will know this to be true. The biggest example is when Tampa Bay was 0-150, Archie made the Statement that, if we lose to TB that would be an embarrassment. Well, we lost to TB that game.

Just my opinion, but I think STL will be a very scary game.

I hope I'm wrong.

I do too. There are no gimme games in the NFL. You have to go and get each and every one of them.

yea esp after st. louis's offense actually semi-showed up against cleveland. they're kiiiiinda taking form. in no way should we overlook ANY team. that's a surefire way to get beat :\

just ask my school FAU, we just lost to ul-monroe and put our conference title hopes in jeopardy.

St. Louis Rams is a good team despite their record. They just havent found a way to close games out. Rams and Jags scare me the most on our schedule.

Exactly....no gimmies in the NFL. Remember Tim Couch and the Hail Mary pass?!?

EXACTLY....NO GIMMIES!!!!!

I kind of hope the Rams win this coming Sunday because they are desperate for a win, if they lose Sunday they'll even be more desperate for a win.
I agree. the Rams game scares me some too, they are a team with talent and will soon win a game, just hope it's not against the Saints.

Q. Is the Rams game really a gimme?

A. Yes, the Rams game is really a gimme. Believe it.

The Saints look very evenly matched against the rest of their schedule. So no, I would say the Rams is not a gimme game by any stretch. The Rams still have a lot of firepower in their offense.

Rams will NOT win this Sunday, that I can guarantee. why you ask? simple, they have a bye. oh well, Haslett has 2 weeks to get ready for Brees and Payton. I do agree with all been said. their O-line is a nightmare. it is the key to their season along with the health of Stephen Jackson.

I hope the Saints don't give the Rams their first win.

Re: Is the Rams game really a gimmie?

No game is a gimme. But it really has nothing to do with the Rams. Like SaintsFaninATLHELL said, if you've been around the Saints for any length of time, YOU KNOW that we can blow a high. We could simply give the game away. We could try a fake draw quadrouple reverse toss back cross field post pattern on 3rd and 2. Sacks, fumbles, INT's, false starts in the red zone, drops, olindo's, you name it. I have more confidence in our team against quality opponents. We seem to play down to our competition, and that's scarey. I'm still kind of speechless from this past week. Who remembers where we were four weeks ago? We are just one or two mishaps, or lacks of concentration away from returning to Funkinville. If we don't show up each week and play solid football, we could even lose to Notre Dame.

Historically, the Saints have been the salve that heals all NFL wounds. We've given every team that's had a major disasterous streak a confidence boost in the form of an inexplicable win.

No game is a gimme with the Saints.

Thank you xan. Step said it also.

That is the point I was trying to make. I hope the Saints bring and play four quarters with their A game.

Re: Is the Rams game really a gimmie?

Had Steven Jackson not leave the game Sunday in the 1st/ beginning 2nd quarter, the Rams could have blown the Browns out. They blew a 14-3 lead. Jackson, Bulger, the line, and Drew Bennett's injuries are all a contributing factor to the Ram's unsuccessful season. Also, a Haslett/Venturi coached defense doesn't help much neither. A healthy Steven Jackson is scary and they can put up points quick. Coming into the season some would say he was the 2nd best running back and I would have agreed.

The Saints will be in a physical fight with Jax and will probably be beat up going into the Rams game while they rest. No gimme at all. I am sure no one was saying that the Saints were a gimme after going 0-4. 0-8 is worse, but their key injuries have hurt them badly. I'd feel much better if Hakim was returning punts.
