NO way I take that offer if I was calling the shots.

...and we keep our number one pick as well right?

Re: what if.......we were offered 2 first round picks for reggie?

I'd say no, only because we'd have to use one of those picks on an unproven running back. Plus, with Duece being hurt again we'd be really weak at RB. I do like what PT brings to the table and I wouldn't mind getting McFadden, but Reggie is too valuable.

Here's a good what if for ya'll. What if we were offered Peterson (Vikings) for Bush...straight up. Would you take it?

I'd have to say no because our team is going to have to be RB by comittee that seems to be the latest trend. We'll need Bush. 2 1st rounders, I don't know who would pull that trigger but I'd consider it if we kept all of our picks and one of the 3 was at least a top ten for sure.

I think Bush would like to be the only Saint to be in the Hall of Fame but I don't think he will end his career in NO.

Very rarely do you see a guy play his whole career with one team. The only guy that really has a shot at that is Houser IMO. Benson don't like to keep the good ones around too long. I hope Karney can finish out with us, also.

I got a feeling Bush maybe a player that maybe frustrated playing in New Orleans in a few years and may opt for greener pastures and try to go to NE to get a SB ring. Thats where all the teams seem to let there talent go these days. "Way to go Oakland".

I can't see reggie going to New England. I can see him going to a big-market city, with a warm climate. For some reason, I can see Reggie going to SD, although it's not a NYC or an LA, but quite big. Maybe when LT gets into his latter years. Wouldn't it suck if he went to a division rival? I just had a vurp, we need to lock him down for another 12 years.

Re: what if.......we were offered 2 first round picks for reggie?

NO. Our current situation needs Reggie's unique talents. We still don't know what the future holds and we KNOW what Reggie can do. Even if Duece comes back and is ready to bang, Reggie is still a great compliment. Even if Duece comes back healthy and ready to go, how much longer will he last? Let's lock Reggie and fill some of the other gaping holes we missed in our line up (like cover corners).

That's a tough question. I'd have to say that I would think about it if it were the #1 overall pick next year. I think DMac is going to be really good.

As for Purple Jesus, I think I might pass. He's awesome, but I still worry about that injury bug. One thing you gotta say about Reggie is that he is tough. I don't remember him ever having a significant injury.

Deuce will come back, I just wonder if he will be the same back. If I were the FO, I would be looking at some late-round bruisers. That kid Dixon at Miss State is a thought. He leads the SEC in rushing TDs, he's 240lbs and can run, he does have a tendancey to put the ball on the turf, but so did a few other good backs. He could slide to the 3rd or 4th and be a good value pick.

Why would any fool would want to get rid of Reggie Bush? You must remember, New Orleans is known for losing, so Peterson can come here and get all broken up, just like Duece. It's mighty strange to me that the Saints play better on the road than they play at home. U have to wonder Y? Sean Payton, needs to take care of his Running backs and quarterback, by getting the best Talent, and stop running to divison 2 schools, because they don't want to pay any money. Sean Payton, knew he needed line backers and corners backs, why didn't he draft any? He decided to release David Jones and keep Fred Thomas, for what to slip down everytime a play comes his way.
Simeaux and Thomas are they really professional ball players? Because if they are, it's very funny Sean Payton.

Re: what if.......we were offered 2 first round picks for reggie?

I say yes because then we'll have 3 first round draft picks. Come on people... we could select a new left tackle, center, and defensive tackle with those picks. We've got to build our line somehow. We can't keep on using mid/low round draft picks on these positions. That's not how you build a team. Reggie Bush has never been a featured back and nor will he ever be. He's not built to carry the load or take the pounding. Trade his behind.

Prime example... let at the Jets when they selected D'Brick and Mangold. They clearly know what they're doing and are headed in the right direction. I'm not sure how much longer Jahari can overachieve at RG and Stinchcomb can last at RT... and we all know Faine blows.

Hey I thought that was pretty funny. I got this thing down pat. ;)

What's so bad with drafting from small schools? Colston and Evans came from small schools. What did Meachem do so far? Absolutely nothing. I am not saying he won't turn out to be good, but he's done nothing yet. Just for your information, players that get drafted get paid on where they were selected regardless of how big of a school they came from. Some of the best players in the league currently and formerly went to small schools. By the way, one of the best corners in the league is from a small school, which you'll see a lot of this week, Rashean Mathis (Bethune-Cookman).

This years first rounder has helped the team so much.

Re: what if.......we were offered 2 first round picks for reggie?

Sean Payton, it's his job to get the talent, yes, Colston is good and Jahri Evan, the saints picked before the Colt and New England, how come they can get theses rookies who can start, but the saints get the rookies, that you have to develop? That rookie, ugo, who went up against Will Smith did one good job against. See that's a difference in coaching, Dungy, put in players on the field and let them develope. With Sean Payton, they have to develop on the practice field, I think that's the difference between coaching styles.
Do blame 40 years of losing on Reggie Bush, when he was drafted, I saw his face, he wasn't happy. If Reggie Bush goes any place else, he would run wild. Okay, I'm going to let all the negative talk go, I want the Saints to win a Super bowl, and I want them to do it with Reggie Bush. Sean Payton, needs to draft in the Sec.

Re: what if.......we were offered 2 first round picks for reggie?

This is the type of move that would hurt this team for years to come. No way does this happen for even 5 years worth of 1st round picks. This would be the biggest "bonehead" move of the century. If this would happen you would see this on ESPN's 5 Reason You CAN Blame New Orleans for trading Reggie Bush.

Its a hyperthetical question get over yourselves... even I can see its a 'what if question'. ...and if I can tell that come one.

I mean 3 number one picks??? Thats a lot of talent to spread around across the field.
