Can the Saints run the table
I believe that the Saints can run the table but I know this may a HUGE chore in the NFL!
We can win our 4 remaining home games, giving us an 8-4 record. Winning at Carolina will be a challenge but we play close games with those guys. I wanna skin the Bears, the last game of the year. Wow, this could be a spectacular run! Maybe I'm a dreamer... Geaux Saints!! |
Re: Can the Saints run the table
:handguns:Lets take it one game at a time,No matter who the apponent is,Next up The sacraficial Lams.

Re: Can the Saints run the table
I was thinking the same thing today. A very tall order indeed but if they keep playing like they did today it could happen.
|
Re: Can the Saints run the table
I think they can, but I just hope they make it to the playoffs.
|
Re: Can the Saints run the table
As long as we stay within one game of the division leader going into that 3 game swing in the division, the future is in our hands.
|
Re: Can the Saints run the table
Saints certainly have the potential to run the table. Saints could lose 1 game and still be ok, but they must beat Tampa(5-4).
Looking at Tampa's remaining 7 games, I can see them easily finishing at 10-6. |
Re: Can the Saints run the table
In a word......yes! Will they? Who knows. But they can. They have the ability to.
|
Re: Can the Saints run the table
Carolina, Tampa and Atlanta (must wins in divison, in case of ties)
|
Re: Can the Saints run the table
Get by the Rams and we'll talk about running the table.
|
Re: Can the Saints run the table
One game at a time.
|
Re: Can the Saints run the table
I think it's very important for the Saints to take the one-game-at-a-time approach.
However.... I'm NOT on the team in the locker room, so I'm a eatin' the cheese and strategenizin' this deal down the road. I want REVENGE! Bring on the Tampa Chuckie heads, bring on the Carolina Pathetics (oh Testeverde meet Will Smith, your next), Bring on the Chicago emBEARassments, then after that I want ROMO's over-rated head on a stick .... again. Just to prove it wasn't a fluke. Then, if any green cheese is left standing, I want it deli sliced and sent back to Wisconsin. Then I want a shot at Bellacheat-n-company. Just a shot, thats all I want. |
Re: Can the Saints run the table
I say one PLAY at a time.
Maximum concentration Maximum effort Pure professional no nonsense football. Having said that, Saintsfan4ever :p |
Re: Can the Saints run the table
I was already thinking that we could do it, run the table, but I think if we go 6-2 the rest of the way, we'll be in the playoffs.

Re: Can the Saints run the table
Jason David still worries me. Yeah, he had an interception. And I'm pretty sure he even had one more earlier in the season. But compare the big plays he gave up to the interceptions. I'm thankful to the Jags' QB for not seeing the players David left open on many plays. We need to do something about the CB position if we want to run the table.

Re: Can the Saints run the table
speaking of the Lambs, they have lost now 4 O-linemen for significant length of time on each (most for the season). they lost DE Leonard Little today. see article below. that being said, they are a loaded team if all are healthy at the skill spots and we know what Haslett brings with the defense which is fast unit. classic "trap" game. stop Steven Jackson and pressure Bulger who is no Quinn Gray by any means.

Re: Can the Saints run the table
IMHO they can win the rest of the games, at worst they may drop one, I just hope it's not against anybody in the NFC South.
Yesterday was the best the team played this season, we can see improvements each week. I heard Sean Payton on WWL last night, he said that his team will have to improve if they want to get where they want to be later in the season, I know he'll have his team ready to play the rest of the way, I loved hearing him say that they want to get better than they are now... WhoDat We need a PK like now, Mare just isn't what we need right now, problem is where does Payton fine such a kicker at this time of the season? The Rams come to town Sunday wounded which worries me some but the Saints should get the win and that would mean 5 in a row giving them the same record as the Bucs being they are on their bye this week but they still beat us on the tie breaker at this time.. |
Re: Can the Saints run the table
I think 10-6 gets us in either as wild card or division winner. They won't run the table but 6-2 is more than doable.
|
Re: Can the Saints run the table
don't look past the rams
we were once fierce rivals - but that seems to have died down like with SF since realignment - still they are just up the Mississippi . be nice to the visitors and don't forget it was once the greatest show on turf - and our secondary is prone to giving up big plays. they could beat us. |
Re: Can the Saints run the table
I want to get past the Rams first, also.
Then, my major win priorities are Bucs, Falcons, and Panthers. If that happens everything else should fall into place. |
Re: Can the Saints run the table
Don't forget about Houston.
|
Re: Can the Saints run the table
Yes, Houston will be a problem, along with the Bears in Chicago. But, if we don't take care of the Pathers and Tampa, it doesn't really matter.
|
Re: Can the Saints run the table
The Panthers with David Carr or Vinny 'Verde? No. The Panthers are not nearly the threat they once might have been 5 or 6 weeks ago. The Bucs keep impressing me with Garcia at the reins. I thought they were gonna be the rump roast they have been for the past four years I had been in the Tampa area but Gruden has found a way to resuscitate a team plagued by underachievement. Keeping up with Tampa is however gonna require patience and maturity.
But taking a look at their remaining schedule does make me feel good about their chances. |

Saints must beat the Panthers and the Bucs, the Panthers are in really bad shape right now, Bucs on the other hand can beat us if we don't play well in the Dome come Dec. 2 |

Bucs will bring their G-men (Garcia, Graham, Galloway). Bucs will scrap plenty and make tough from start to finish. Rising star Josh Bullocks has gotta bring his A+ game (the one that has appeared for the first time ever over the last 2 weeks). I figure Saints needs a minimum of 24 points to get the Bucs off their game plan. Long time yet. For now............. we hope we shear dem sheep..........:handguns: |
Re: Can the Saints run the table
Bullocks still can't cover
