Re: Midseason Evaluation - FA Signings
I couldn't decide between Patten or EJ. Each has come here off FA and made an impact. Patten shows more production on the stats, but EJ has done a good job blocking when he's not on a pass route.
Also, I think we're going to see more good things from Simmons as he gets more playing time. |

Patton was a great pickup for the Saints, he's a player that Brees likes and depends on.
I can't believe Mare is even on this list. |
Re: Midseason Evaluation - FA Signings
The choice is clearly EJ. Don't hold him having less yards than Patten against him. He doesn't get the same opportunities to go long as Patten. He has more catches and just as many TD's.

I went with the hot hand in Patten. But both he and Johnson have been great for this team.

I agree with Patten and Johnson but as Simmons get the playing time MANN it will be on dude can play. As I watched the game last week I heard the announcers talk about the play of the LB, which brings me to my next question. I don’t know the status of Ray Lewis contract but if it was up what do you think about him coming to the Saints |
Re: Midseason Evaluation - FA Signings
once again the offense has won it hands down. But give the D sometime and they might get a vote. We are going to put some bucks into the D sometime and get the Defensive captain out there. I hope they make that move next year. Good knows they could use a Drew type of leader on that side of the ball.

Re: Midseason Evaluation - FA Signings
i voted for patten, no brainer.

Re: Midseason Evaluation - FA Signings
real question is, who was the worst? another no brainer Mare, followed closely by J David.

Re: Midseason Evaluation - FA Signings
Am I the only one who thinks that the D line has done a great job in the last 5 weeks, especially since Clancy has been seeing regular time? Making these teams one dimensional by force has been a huge factor in the Saints' success, more so than any of the 12 targets that Brees has.
Clancy, unsung hero. |
Re: Midseason Evaluation - FA Signings
Why can't I vote for 3. Johnson,Patten and Clancy have all been a big help. Worth every penny we paid for them. Wish we could keep them all after this year. Maybe we can.
