this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'd say go after a corner in Free agency. It's to hard to try to teach a corner the ins and outs of corner at the NFL level. A rookie will make far to many mistakes that will cause scoring. ...

I'd say go after a corner in Free agency. It's to hard to try to teach a corner the ins and outs of corner at the NFL level. A rookie will make far to many mistakes that will cause scoring. Defensive linemen as a rule won't cost you that much in scoring. Same for linebackers. I's almost rather have one that's proven. Not a rookie makeing rookie mistakes.
