Well.... maybe, maybe not.
It looks to me like the negotiations with the NFL to bring a franchise to this 53 acre area in Anaheim got switched from the city counsel's decision to the developer's option. Nothing is stopping the developer, Archstone-Smith and Hines, from making a deal with the NFL if the opportunity arises.

"It's a completely dead issue with us," Anaheim councilman Harry Sidhu said. "If there's any chance of this coming back, it'll have to be in discussions with Archstone and the NFL."

I'd rather see Vegas get a team before LA. They really don't deserve another shot. I'm wondering how much the football fans are really behind these efforts
