Playoff implications for Saints

Playoff implications for Saints
Didn't see a specific thread on this. OK of course we need to win out or all this is trash.
I feel the best we should hope for is the 6th seed. I'm sure the 5th and even 4th are possible but too complicated.
Our main threats are the Vikings, Lions, Cards (all 6-6) and Redskins (6-7) and Philly (5-7)
We play the Cards and Philly so we can take care of them ourselves and be ahead of them.
The Panthers are 5-7 as well with same amount of NFC losses and div. losses as us. Panthers play at JAX Sunday so let's give CAR a loss there to get them out of our way please god.
The Vikes and Lions have more NFC losses than us currently, so we just need those two teams to lose one game each and we are ahead of them period.
The Lions play Dallas Sunday and Dallas better beat them, this will be one of few times in my life I'll root for them! Minn. has a road game at Frisco Sunday then a couple home games CHI and WAS then road at DEN..they gotta lose one of these dangit. So, in short..we need to win out and I really only see MInny as the potential monkey wrench for us gettin the 6th seed.... if they win out.

QBREES9 - Nice article, but just call it a season and be done with it. The Saints do not have a 4 win streak left in them. At this point a 7-9 would be fine. Regroup for next season and hope the magic can reappear.

all I want is for them to finish the year strong. playoffs would be nice but that is not key. Win, win, win, win

Co-sign. The playoffs would be nice for morale. And we don't really need anymore young talent at skill positions, so the difference between the 10th and 16th draft pick is negligible. Plus, let's face it, it's only 2, maybe 3 teams that have a chance of knocking of New England, and we ain't one of them. ... Although a tie-breaker sneak-in over Minnesota would be nice since they've screwed us on the tie-breaker rules so much in that past!

Even if we got the last wildcard spot, which I seriously doubt we would all be disappointed anyway.

I am already getting excited about the draft and I think we'll end up with at least the 7th pick. Just a guess.

.. I just want the season to be over, so I can concentrate on America FC.

Let's face it... which passing attack you want to see toast 3rd Down in the playoffs:
Dallas?
Green Bay?
The Bucs? Seen the movie twice already....
... even New York..

Pack it in, play the rookies, get some reps and see who wants to stay next year. But, WIN games still.

Call me crazy but the Saints will make the playoffs, they'll win 4 in a row and the Vikes will lose a game of the four remaining and no way in hell the Panthers beat the Cowboys on Sunday.
Just don't bet on it but I love our chances...

Go Saints!!!!

Get ready for the playoffs fans because we're going to make a strong push for it...
Again, call me crazy because it won't bother me, I've been called worst.

As long as I see that there is hope I'm thinking playoffs, don't you think that the Lion fans are thinking playoffs also?, just see how hard they're next four games will be, Cowboys, Chargers, K.C and the Packers, I say they lose two of the four games remaining.
The NFC is really bad this season, a 9-7 record will get you in the playoffs IMO

Crazy! Nah, I'm joking. I'm with you. I have the luxury of being a fan. I don't have to pretend to be a football analyst and look at objectively.
As much as I hate to root for Dallas, they can do us a lot of favors by knocking off Detroit, Philly, and Carolina.

Don't look for help from Dallas as the are getting manhandled by Detroit.

So are the Cowboys who the Lions thought they were? Where's Denny Green when you need him?

Lions lost along with the Cards, Eagles, Panthers, Bears and the Bucs who we can't catch but they did lose today also..
Now the Saints must win Monday Night..

Re: Playoff implications for Saints

Well, I will say things looks slightly better today. Let's go out an beat the Falcons tomorrow night, and we will be in the 7th spot. Have to keep rooting for Dallas, Green Bay, Seattle, and New York. Long shot on Tampa collapsing, but you never know. Really need Minnesota to help us by loosing. Still going to be tough, the Falcons game is going to be tough, then we get to see Warner perhaps kill our secondary, then McNabb, and probably Kyle Orton. Doesn't look too pretty.

WIN WIN WIN that is all I care about. The rest will sort itself out. We win and no matter if the playoffs are in the picture or not, we did our part. End this season on an up note

win the games and the money will count itseft. Was out eating Sat night and JH was there with his family and freinds. Overheard about a 1200$ tab. Went to pay and his card was declined. Those ATLs paychecks must be running slow..........

Ok, i'm stupid but who the hell is JH? When you guys just use initials it makes it tough to know who you're talking about. Are we just to lazy to type it out?;)
