Mark Simoneau and Scott Shanle
i watched the game, they played like real linebackers! isn't it amazing that they finally saw some light? (SIM: fast sack on deadman) (SHAN: laid not wood, but a whole tree on michael jenkins right when he caught that pass)

Re: Mark Simoneau and Scott Shanle
The Saints actually have some pretty good defensive players, but a lot of bad game planning most of the year. The refusal to blitz has been a major factor for a lot of the failure. Keep playing a cover 3 with no heat on the QB and a defense is going to get burned no matter who is in there. The Saints decided to blitz a little bit against the Falcons, and it made all the difference in the world. I still did not like the fact that Redman had 298 yards, but the LB's did look better.

This was the falcons guys. Lets see what happens over the next 3 weeks. I like the play Sunday. Maybe pulling Bullocks hit home with the entire unit.

one game against a bad team doesnt mean much..

Re: Mark Simoneau and Scott Shanle
I haven't seen the tape yet, but I heard the game stats say they only had 5 tackles between them, not very good if you ask me. S & S are the worst pair of LB's I have ever seen start in the NFL, plus like you guys have said, it was the Falcons, for God's sake.
