Re: saints sign DT Marcus Green
POSITIVES: Developing prospect with possibilities as a one-gap lineman in the NFL. Plays with terrific pad level and fires through the gaps upfield. Moves well laterally in pursuit and makes plays down the line of scrimmage. Agile, redirects to the action or wedges between blocks. Works hard and has dropped 40 pounds since freshman season.
NEGATIVES: Easily knocked off balance by the initial block or handled at the point of attack. Lacks playing strength and has tackles broken. ANALYSIS: After taking a while to develop, Green showed a lot of progress as a senior. A likely free agent who fits in as a three-technique lineman. |

Re: saints sign DT Marcus Green
Next year maybe, we'll see. Gibbs needs the down four to put pressure on the qb. We have not done this all year. And, with no LB's to speak of, the DB's are taking all the heat.
