Pierre Thomas
How about this kid? Only had 2 carries for 20 yards but his gutsy 11 yarder sealed the deal just before the 2 minute warning. Stecker did his thing very well but I feel very comfortable with him having the ball.

Re: Pierre Thomas
I don't like him returning kick offs. I think they need to let Cooper or Henderson do it.

Re: Pierre Thomas
Although most of Pierre's carries have been in garbage time with 10 in the box, he still has an 4.8 yard average. I have a feeling that if PT had a game to himself and got in the flow, he could do some serious damage. It's hard to break into the lineup on a Payton team, but I guess we will get to see him after we're eliminated from the palyoff's.

Re: Pierre Thomas
That was his worst KO return game. I couldn't tell if it was the blocking, Card's coverage or if PT was not seeing the field very well. As far as runs from scrimmage goes, coach wants to give Stecker the carries so that he gets into the game and so far he has done a great job (other than that fumble). PT would have to do 15 carries or so for us to see what he really has. Since we are still in this, I don't think he will change this.

Re: Pierre Thomas
I'm with hagan. I don't trust Henderson's hands well enough to let him return a KO. And apparently, neither does Henderson. Ha.
What about Moore? He's done pretty well, hasn't he? |

Re: Pierre Thomas
Henderson on Kickoffs, hes got some time to catch the ball and making some great grabs lately. Kickoffs ok... no punts. Let him turn on his jets and go. That is what we are lacking in the return game no one is showing speed.

Re: Pierre Thomas
What are you talking about he's been making great catches lately... he averages maybe a catch a game and zero last game. He speed back there would be nice but the man can't catch. Go back and re-watch your game tape.

Re: Pierre Thomas
on KO's the cards were running right past our blockers....easy to see from the nose-bleeds!!!!!

I love that sig kittyKat!!! LOL

Re: Pierre Thomas
I agree that on KO's P.T. so far has at least not made the boneheaded play. I think he is OK in that roll, but I have to agree with Euphoria that Henderson may be a better overall option. I do admit that Henderson would put me on pins and needles, and I would be praying all the time that he doesn't fumble. As far as Copper goes, I could not deal with that type of stress. LOL

Re: Pierre Thomas
My stomach turns with the very thought of it. I am betting he is not a saint next year anyways. Unless he takes a major pay cut. Even then I doubt it. Then again I thought we should of traded him during the draft last year. So maybe I am not to objective. I have never been impressed with him. He has all the talent in the world but has not been able to get it all together.

Re: Pierre Thomas
If I was given the choice of fixin one problem on this team I dont think kick returner would be it. PT can catch and as long as he is moving toward the other goal line whats the problem. If Henderson is leading the league in dropped passes should he now go after leading the league in dropped kicks. If something is worse than a wr who cant catch maybe a kick returner who cant catch would be it. Hello its a live ball unlike a throw when he drops it (unless he tips it to the other team) he cant just run to the sideline and sit on the bench.
Not sure what Hendersons problem is. He makes crazy diving one handed catches look easy but if its headed for his chest he freaks out. Unfortunatly Brees throws more to his chest than over his head. Catching kicks would not be his strong suit. |
