The next play was an 18-yard pass to Marques Colston. Three plays later, Brees completed a 22-yard pass to Miller on third-and-6.

After tailback Pierre Thomas gained another first down with an 11-yard run, the Saints were able to run out the clock with three consecutive kneel-downs.

"Our mindset is still very aggressive," Brees said of the final drive. "The last thing we'd want to do in that situation is three-and-out, punt the ball and give them a short field. We knew we had the opportunity to seal that game right then and there."

A Drew interception in that spot, would have had the Payton haters out of their seats. How dare he call a pass in that position? Coach knows that the best way to win is to keep his defense off the field in the last two minutes. Take a chance, get the first down and kneel. Sweet!

They played to win. Remember what Micheal Jordon says.
" I missed a lot of game winners and made a few. The winners came easier the more I played. If you are gun shy you will never be a winner."
