No help from Bears
How did the Bears win 5 games this year?
I was pulling for the Bears tonight, but after watching Kyle Orton play I just can't believe how bad this team is. At least the Saints are entertaining when they lose. Minnesota had 4 turnovers and still won. Minnesota is NOT winning out. There is just no chance. They are poop. |
Re: No help from Bears
Bears have NO offense. That was disgusting. Now we gotta count on the Redskins.
|
Re: No help from Bears
I think Washington or Denver will beat Minny easily. Minny has no offense either and they make the most ridiculous turnovers. It was just embarrasing watching the Bears D make play after play and their O just sux so bad. At least they have been knocked out of the playoff push now and should be packing their bags against us in week 17.

Re: No help from Bears
Not so fast. Minnesota can run all over Denver. Only the mile high snow might stop that.
|
Re: No help from Bears
The mile high snow would help that. Minny's run game that is. Jamal Lewis proved that this Sunday for the Browns. I just think Tavaris Jackson is awful and will make a horrible INT when Minny can afford it least. There is no way this poop pie of a team wins 7 straight games.

Re: No help from Bears
Maybe this is good. It eliminates the Eagles, so no reason for them to pull out all the stops this weekend. It eliminates the Bears, so they don't have to play us hard either (not that there's a difference). And it's less pressure on the Saints, because we're technically not in it yet (we haven't really responded well to pressure this year, whether it be the pressure at the beginning of the year to repeat last year, or every time we crawled back in it & got close to taking the division).
I still can't believe how much the Bears offense sucks! If I was on their defense, I'd lateral every interception until we got in field-goal range. You can't trust that offense to even pick up a first down! |
Re: No help from Bears
all we gotta do is win out, and vikings to lose. thats it. their o-line is horrendous... and the talking heads says our o-line stinks. yeah, whatever. at least we protect brees and open holes
|
Re: No help from Bears
I watched that game. And I tell you what - the Bears are terrible. Really really awful. If they somehow find a way to beat us in the final game, which I'm not ruling out, then I'll have to commit sepuku immediately. No one should have to live with that level of dishonor.
Boy, they are that bad. |

WTF is that thing on his lip? If it's a good luck token, it ain't helping... |
Re: No help from Bears
Those bums have to be the three worst qbs in the league. I mean, would the Bears be this bad with Leftwhich, Pennington, or even David Carr? ... OK, so maybe Carr is a stretch, but besides him, you couldn't do much worse. Most teams have better back-ups than these guys.

The problem first though is that the Saints have to do their part and win the next two which won't be easy but they should win, on paper that is. The Giants are horrible, I really don't see them beating the Bills on the road and sure as hell won't beat the Pats but again, the Saints have a lot on their plate also, it might come down to week 16 to see who takes the two Wildcard spots. GO SAINTS!!! |
Re: No help from Bears
that was the worst offesive showing ive ever seen if i can even call it that they had they ball on the 50 two times in a row in second half and got nothing not to mention many other oppurtunites with good field position but if min. plays like that next week they will lose and im also ruiting for buffalo as well as washington

I think that it'll all shake out after this week. SFIAH |
Re: No help from Bears
It's fairly simply to game plan against the Bears these days. Just play conservative on offense, keep it simple, no turnovers and stuff, and NEVER kick the ball to Hester. Just kick the damn thing out of bounds if necessary. A 30 yard out of bounds punt is much better than a 50 yard punt with a 70 yard return. On kickoffs, kick that damn thing out of bounds too if necessary. It's much better to have the Bears start at the 40 rather than seeing Hester take it to the house.
Yeah, things are not looking to great for the Giants. I would hate to have to end the season playing Buffalo and New England. Eli is looking like the wrong answer for New York. Every season his numbers seem to go down as the season progresses, perhaps he is not a nasty weather QB. He obviously does horrible in Giant Stadium late in seasons when the wind and weather becomes horrible. I would bet if he had a do over he would have opted for San Diego... LOL |
Re: No help from Bears
What I couldn't get about the Bears is why leave Orton in the game when he obviously is just horrible. Are you trying to lose? Are you just dense Lovie Smith? Does Brian Griese's arm have a tear or break I don't know about?
I just hope Lovie keeps Orton in the entire game against us. He makes Ryan Leaf look like an all pro. |
Re: No help from Bears
From what I understand is the Bears knowing that they are out of it, wants to see if Orton has any future with them. It looks like from all indications that the Bears will be QB shopping in the off-season. It's a looks pretty grim on the free agent market, so perhaps they will need to draft someone in the first round, or make a trade with someone. Maybe a guy like JP Losman or Daunte Culpepper will be available, who knows. Not very pretty to say the least...

Re: No help from Bears
I've heard McNabbs name bandied about for them next year.
|
Re: No help from Bears
Yeah, I heard that too, but I don't think the Eagles will let McNabb walk anytime soon. What would the Eagles do if they let McNabb walk, give the job to Kolb? IMO there is no way that is going to happen in 2008.
