Joe has always been a friend to me on this board. I will deeply miss him. I wish I would have had the chance to meet him in person. RIP Joe, and my prayers go out to Joe's family and friends. God Bless.

We all lost a true friend. I will miss the banter he had. He always left you you with a smile. There are very few people in this world that are capable of that. I found a true friend here and I will miss him.

I was away from the site for a while and when I came back about nine months ago, he was the first to welcome me back with a "do we have a fireventuri sighting"? I will miss him.

IMO Joe played a big part in the success of our site.
When I first became a Mod here he contacted me and told me how to handle certain situations, he was so helpful even though he was ill.
I'll be thinking of him all week and more so when the Saints play this Sunday ,he really loved his Saints.

I think we should all think about how much or how small each of us means to one another on this board, no matter how big or how small. We may argue with each other on here, but what family doesn't? That is the best thing about this site. I am greatful that I have had the opportunity to me Joe and the rest of y'all. So I guess a big thanks goes out to HALO for doing this site. Without that, I wouldn't have met stumbled across this site and met some great people. So, thanks HALO.

Didn't know him all that well, but he always seemed that he wanted to run a clean, family-friendly forum for people to discuss (vent about) the Saints. R.I.P. JoeSam, I hope the Saints can get in the playoffs for you this year.

I didn't know JoeSam personally, but I feel like I know him from the many years that I've read and responded to his post. I always enjoyed reading his thoughts and insight. He was very respected here and will be very dearly missed. I offer my prayers for peace and comfort to his family.

Joe was always the voice of reason on the boards. He will be greatly missed. My prayers are with the whole Joesam family. This board needs a dedication site for all of us touched by a man most of us never met.

Wow...he was the one person that i associated with blackandgold.com....he is the first name i think of when i come to the site and he had a great grasp of this team and all that was said here...considering my relationship with him was solely on this board, i am very saddened by this.

Damn, just damn! Joe was a great guy and the best damn Saint fan ever. He lived for this forum and I know that he is going to be watching the game this Sunday with the rest of the Saints in Heaven.

I didn't know him personally but a bond was formed that was invisible until now.

Prayers to all of his friends and family. We love ya Joe, nuff said!

I haven't been at the site that long, but I've been here long enough to appreciate Joe and all he did for the site. Always had something positive to say about the team, even after the worst games. He was a class act and I will miss seeing his posts.

Oh no.. I am really saddened by this. Who knew that a Saints forum could build friendship like this? To say that the site will never be the same without Joe is a gross understatement.

I know very little of what comes after spending such little and precious time down here on earth but I do hope that Joe is aware of the comments made in this forum. Comments that I hope he knew before passing.

I've been attempting to be civil but with comments like that one I'll be posting alot more.

I would consider most of ya'll family. The ones that you only see once a year for a couple of days at Christmas. NOW'S THAT FUNNY RIGHT THERE!!!

I love to get stuff started and Joe always understood that about me, as I guess everyone else does. My medication has been adjusted recently so I'm fine now.

I was as shocked as everyone to learn of Joe's passing. As a fellow Parrothead and Saint's fan and a member of this site since way back, I can honestly say this took my breath away and made my eyes mist over. My condolences to Joe's family, please know he was greatly loved by everyone here that knew him. I can picture him bending Buddy D's ear now as they talk about how to get the Saints over the next hump and God rolling his eyes knowing He's getting no peace until He puts the Saints in the Superbowl. :)

Joe Sam was one of my life long friends, we grew up together, we played together, we nearly burned down the bowling alley in our hometown when we were in the 5th grade. He was married to my sister, so we were more than friends. I've been reading the comments listed, and it's touching to know so many people who did not know "Bubba", felt like they knew him. He was special in so many ways. I was with him Wednedsay before he passed away. He didn't feel very good, but we laughed and visited for nearly 3 hours, before I had to go back home. I told him I loved him before I left, and he told me he loved me. He mentioned Black & Gold and I know how much it meant to him to be on line with you guys. It gave him something else to be proud of. We talked about the last Saints game he went to and the re-opening of the Dome after Katrina when the Saints came marching back into New Orleans. When you say Joe Sam will be missed, you don't know the half of it. Thank you guys for all the nice comments. GEAUX SAINTS!!!

I've been afk for a couple weeks after a breakup and moving to a new place, this is not what I wanted to come back to. To say that JoeSam was loved and respected is an understatement. The man was a stalwart here at this website and his presence will be sorely missed by all of us. Rest in peace, friend.

This won't be the same here without him, May you find peace in God's loving arms and I will keep ythe Irvine family in my prayers. He was truly one of a kind and even though I never met him in person he will be missed.

This is a guy who derserves a memorial somewhere in the Superdome and a memorial on this site too since he was so much a part of it.

Damn- I don't swing by often anymore but to drop in and see this was shocking. I never knew him personally but he's one of the main reasons I was here to begin with and why I'd always say hello every now and then. He was class pure and simple and had a great heart.

This is very sad news. I haven't been to this site in a while, but JoeSam was one of the more respected B&Gers when I visited this site regularly. My condolences to his family. I'll miss his spring training coverage.
