We can only hope. We need a Drew type of captain in the LB corp to lead the defense. Sam Mills was the guy way back when. I am not saying it is him but we need to do a Drew type of investment on that side of the ball.

Hagan, in the past I would have said "no way". Heck even the way we blew FA last year I would have said no.

BUT, I think the coaches see a tremendous hole there and the only way to fill it is with $$$$$. Draft Lariunitis and sign Briggs!!

If they don't at least talk to him I will be very disapointed....as usual.

He ended up accepting the tag this season, right? Can you get the tag twice in a row?

I have to say that I worry about guys like Briggs and Samuel being products of their environment. First off, how many Pats players have gotten big contracts and ended up sucking? And Briggs has Tommie Harris, Urlacher, etc...that's gotta help.

Well Im pretty sure his hold out in the preseason led to a stipulation in his contract. If I remember correctly when he signed his franchise tag going into this year and decided not to hold out it was only cuz the bears agreed not to tag him again after the season.
