According to the Football Outsiders (footballoutsiders.com) Jason David ranks last in all rated cornerbacks this season.

67 out of 67 giving up 16 ypc and having a 27% success rate, last in both categories.

Mike McKenzie, however, is 13th in success rate (62%) and 12th in ypc (6.0)

I hope no one is shocked by this... it's quite obvious how much he's struggled this year. Let's hope he can get his act together this offseason and at least become an average nickel. I'm setting my goals low... hopefully he'll surprise me.

5' 9" does not make a good corner anymore. MM's not even that great, but when you can pick on JD every play I guess your ranking is bound to go up ;)

Size has nothing to do with it. Being a terrible cover corner with no man-cover skills and no ball skills has everything to do with it. Not to mention he can't tackle anybody once they catch the ball.

JD has shown some promise this year along with his maddening poor play. I want to see see him play again in some capacity next year but not as a starting corner. In my opinion, the corner position is the weakest position on this team. The Saints need to rework this secondary in a bad way.

I don't. Not on my team. But I wouldn't mind seeing him on my opponents' teams.

I hope, if he comes back, he is the #3 CB by seasons end. That would mean we have solved our CB problems.

I think I'd rather keep Craft as the nickel. Could JD be traded? I know whe's no good in man coverage, but he played pretty well in cover two for the Colts, didn't he? Think anyone with that style of D would be willing to trade anything for him? I guess it would come down to his contract. I don't know the details, just that we paid a lot for him. Is he signed for three years? Anyone who'd be willing to trade would probably balk at the contract anyway. With that in mind, my guess is he'll be waived.
