Through the Quarterback's Eyes
New Orleans Saints - Through the Quarterbacks Eyes
How have you seen Robert Meachem grow this year? Drew Brees: “He was hurt for the preseason so I think no one got a good look at him. I’ve seen him improve every day. He is working on scout team and he’s a guy who I don’t think has missed a rep. He was kind of fighting through some pain early on and gradually you have seen him getting better and better. Another thing that I think Meachem has is that he has great guys to look up to. He has a similar body-type to Marques Colston so on a lot of the things he can look at Marques and go, ‘That’s me.’ Also having the veteran experience of a guy like David Patten to help bring him along and just to know he’s got some good guidance and some good mentorship, this has been a good learning experience for him.” |

He's grown a beard. But that's about it.

Re: Through the Quarterback's Eyes
yea this doesn't help me understand at all why he didn't at least get a shot when we were 0-4...hell...any of the entire season.

Re: Through the Quarterback's Eyes
i realize they need time to develop...but players that were drafted after him...bowe, jarret, colston (i know colston's a freak), but it seems like plenty of WRs get a shot at least.
i see the giving up thing...i guess if he's not good enough, don't start him. totally agree...but why the hell isn't he good enough is my question? is he going to be some kind of a secret weapon in a few years that can catch everything his way and not? |
