Well my answer is - it depends on his recovery. If he is Deuce like we know Deuce then he is back. The Saints need his leadership. But if he is not, then SADLY he gets cut.

Yes, he will be given one more season. He was hurt early in 2007 and will have had time to rehab the knees. I do not expect him to restructure his contract, but will want to perform on the field. Also, I do not expect him to be as productive as in previous seasons.

PT will have a new role in 2008.

Not sure but it showed that the Saints weren't the same team without him.
Bush on the other hand won't go anywhere..

The Saints obviously need to get their running game going again. Today, Thomas was a positive sign. As far as Deuce goes, I trust that the Saints are going to make the right decision. If he looks good during the off-season, all is well. If not, then obviously Deuce will either need to step up and accept a restructured contract and maybe a lesser role with the club, or retire. I know the last thing in the world the Saints would want to do is release him without all sides giving it a fair shot.

its a business. offer him a position as the rb coach (keeps his leadership). If he still wants to play thats great, but he's no longer worth whats left on his contract
