Thomas was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise forgettable afternoon for the Saints. Thrust into prime-time duty because of injuries to Deuce McAllister, Reggie Bush and Aaron Stecker, Thomas got all of the carries for the Saints and led them in receptions. His 105 yards rushing were the most by a Saint this season. His 226 total yards were the third most by a Saints player. Deuce McAllister is the only back to have more, amassing 237 and 232 in back-to-back games in 2003.

"I thought he ran the ball really well today," Saints Coach Sean Payton said. "Tough conditions -- he had some hard yards, and you watched him finish runs. That was encouraging. He played lights out."
