deuce has two bad knees
reggie and pierre both still need to learn
rb coach has been fired
restructure duece's deal as a RB Coach
pierre be the main starter ala duece in 2006
reggie ala reggie 2006 but a little better
and lots and lots of cap room opened up

I think I read somewhere that the Saints have indicated they will bring Deuce back.

Just because you can play doesn't mean you would be a good coach. Not saying Deuce would be but still.

He's also come back from a knee injury before... and it's not like the injury is career threatening. Why become a coach if he's still able to contribute as a player? Now if he retires this offseason... that's a whole different story. That's very unlikely though.

I am not completely sure about this, but I think there is a rule that would prohibit a coach from joining the active roster. I kind of remember something like that being brought up when Fred McAfee was named to the coaching staff. Kind of makes sense that there would be a rule in place about this, it would keep teams from loading up their "coaching staffs" with what would be a veteran practice squad. If anyone has specific information regarding this, please reply.

Just remember how easy it was for duce to blow out the knee. Also remember he had more than two knee operation already. Two major and a couple of minor reconstructions ones early on and a scraping or two on top of that.

And Pierre Thomas is playing well. It doesn't look good for Deuce, IMO.
