Shuan Rogers?
I saw on ESPN last night that the Lions intend to trade or release him soon. Boy, would he be nice to have on the DL.
You feelin' this Euph? :phat: |

Re: Shuan Rogers?
That's his main problem... actually that's a lot of DT's main problem. If he can get into the 340 range, he's that big plug we need in the middle. He's still only 28 and a proven Pro Bowler. He's definitely worth consideration if he's cut... maybe even a 3rd rounder.

Re: Shuan Rogers?
Absolutely we should be interested. But that always seems to be a little tricky with the Saints, right? We can sit here and talk all we want about guys that we'd love to see in black and gold, but it just never seems like the FO is thinking the same thing as us. Rogers is a beast. If properly motivated, I think he's one of the top 3 DTs in the NFC.

Re: Shuan Rogers?
I dont like him. he is another example of a guy with rare athletic ability but cant keep his mouth shut...he is always running his mouth about his coaches, contract, or teammates...and then he is always stuffing his face and letting his weight balloon up to nearly 400 pounds. Not exactly the team oriented guy we are looking for.

Dude seem like Bad News. Big Baby I wonder why they call him that. UM

Re: Shuan Rogers?
Freakish athletic talent, no discipline whatsoever. He's hurt a lot, is never really in shape, and has already been slapped with a 4 week suspension for controlled substances. Plus, if we traded for him, we'd have to take his huge contract, which would be ludicrous for a part time contributer. Fat guys always have a problem with the cooking down here.

Re: Shuan Rogers?
I am not sure how I feel about this one. Rogers did have 7 sacks in 2007, which is remarkable for a DT. Weight problems, well maybe training camp in brutal Mississippi heat could resolve that. Who knows... Like all other possible free agents, this represents another high risk. No team these days lets their core players move around, thanks to smart management throughout the NFL. A free agent these days is always someone who is to old, to lazy, to hurt, or whatever. At some point if a team wishes to get better, they need to take a chance on a guy and see what happens. Who knows...
