Mike Turner's (Chargers tailback) people are not happy here in Indy. Apparently his agent has been told precisely what I expected -- the draft is loaded with tailbacks and teams in dire need at running back will draft one. The one team that might be his buyer is New Orleans, because Deuce's recovery has hit some snags, according to their trainers. The Steelers like Turner alot, but they don't like the numbers he is looking for. Arizona, reportedly, loves him but can't afford to even buy groceries on their cap. They just had to cut three players to get a little wiggle room.

Turner makes all the sense in the world for the Saints. As much as we all love Deuce, including myself, you cannot wait around hoping he recovers. That position is just too critical to mess around with. I know the defense was bad, but not having that consistent running game probably caused the Saints the division title this past year.

Deuce's recovery has hit some snags, according to their trainers. I don't remember reading or hearing about Deuce, recovery hitting a snag.

I definitely would say no to Turner:

1) We need to worry about defense, period
2) If Henderson improves, and Meachem steps up to a 3 or 4, then with Marques and Patton we have a formidable passing attack, and will rely less on the run
3) Stecker & Thomas played great (for a lot cheaper) as reserves- they had the 100 yard games, not Bush & Deuce.
4) Turner is too damn expensive

OK so the Giants were able to find one decent player from LSU. They also found some talent in Mississippi. I dont think they have a problem playin kids from small programs either. One player on the NFL championship team is from LSU how about this 2 players from Troy St., 2 players from Howard, and 2 from Akron. Lets not worry so much about where they played ball but can they play ball.

I guess if Steltz was from Ferris State, we would be spending this much time talking him UP.
