Already the 6-foot-2, 183-pound cornerback is considered a second-round pick. A good showing at the combine - where the agility and speed tests seem a perfect fit for someone with a track and field background - and Rodgers-Cromartie could inch his way into the first round.

"He could take my spot," said Mike Jenkins, the Southeast High standout who was an All-Big East first-team cornerback and a second-team All-American at South Florida last fall and is considered the top cornerback in this year's draft.
