Jeff Faine may not be back

League sources indicated to Scout.com that the Kansas City Chiefs will show significant interest New Orleans Saints C Jeff Faine at the beginning of free agency on Friday.

I hate lossing two pieces to the interior of the OL in the same season, If so we must draft and or sign at least 2 replacements.

With all of our needs on D, I would be surprised to see us loose both.

Looks like Thursday will be a busy day for Mr Loomis.

Would be an important loss to the line as he makes all the calls... however not one that couldn't be replaced. He'd make a good addition to KC's zone blocking scheme.

That's funny, I don't care who you are.

Re: Jeff Faine may not be back

I thought Faine did a pretty good job the last two seasons. I really don't think you can argue that any one of the linemen were particularly bad, considering how good the pass blocking was. The run blocking leaves a little to be desired, but I'd rather keep him and save us the trouble of having to find somebody new.

If we wanted to draft a center, I'd pull for homeboy Steve Justice from Wake Forest. Not the biggest, but very athletic center.
