Scott Shanle has manned this spot for two years but it's time for an upgrade. Shanle's value resides in being a versatile backup.

That's why I want to draft a LB in the first.

I don't think we should draft for need, but for what it's worth this is my list of priorities:

1. DT - We would get a better pass rush if we had better interior linemen
2. MLB - This simply continues to be a weakness. Also, we should focus on a run stopper and not a quick, pass defender type.
3. OLB - Shanle is passable at best.
4. CB - We need someone to be our #1. If MM recovers well, this would a good secondary with one more CB.
5. WR - We need a legitimate burner.
6. TE, C, or DT

That seems about right to me.
