Crumpler news...
The Seattle Seahawks are close to a deal with Atlanta Falcons free agent tight end Alge Crumpler after the New Orleans Saints turned their attention towards asking the NY Giants about the availability of former All-Pro tight end Jeremy Shockey.
The Seahawks are now in prime position to add Crumpler as other contenders for his services have fallen off in recent days. The Saints called the Giants to check on the status of Shockey, but were again told he is not currently being shopped by the team. Posted on 2/29 6:31 PM ______________________________ Looks like Crumpler was considering NO until ownership game him the Heisman Stiff-Arm  |
Re: Crumpler news...
The Saints need to forget about Shockey and sign Crumpler. Why give up a 2nd rounder or more for Shockey when Crumpler can be had without compensation? Looks like we will let one slip through our fingers......again!

Re: Crumpler news...
ben troupe - a young receiving tight end is still available, he would be a good target for brees at a lower cost.

Re: Crumpler news...(updated)
Got this off rotoworld.com...it's from 29 Feb at 4:45 central time
The agent for Alge Crumpler disputes a report that his client is close to signing with the Seahawks. Crumpler will make one more visit before signing. That he's made three formal visits and been allowed to leave without a deal may be a sign he isn't checking out especially well physically. His next meeting may be with Buffalo. ---------- Maybe the Saints saw something in his physical that they didn't like...kind of puts a different perspective on the Saints not giving him an offer and going after Shockey  |
Re: Crumpler news...
I would like to see the saints forget about Shockey and go after Bryant Johnson and draft a tight end.
