Small school mock draft
Since this coaching staff has a love affair with the small program players, here's a look at a mock draft chock full. Payton, pay attention. :p
Round 1- Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie - CB - Tennessee State Nothing needs to be said. Highest acclaimed player from a small school this year. Round 2- Joe Flacco - QB - Delaware Prototypical size and arm strength, but will be a project. Round 3- Jerome Simpson - WR - Coastal Carolina Good size and hands, quick, but not fast. Round 4- N/A Round 5- Curtis Johnson - OLB - Clark Can wreck havoc in the backfield, and apply pressure to the QB. Lacks ideal weight. Round 6- Corey Lynch - FS - Appalachian State Good anticipation, but needs to add strength. Will not shy away from contact. Round 7- Corey Clark - DT - Jackson State Good size, strength, and athleticism. Will he play every down and bring his game to the next level? |
Re: Small school mock draft
Not sure why you have an N/A for the fourth round. Vilma was a conditional 4th pick in the 2009 draft. Otherwise, none of those look like bad selections.

Re: Small school mock draft
Do your homework...
NEW YORK (AP)—The New York Jets traded linebacker Jonathan Vilma to the New Orleans Saints on Friday for a fourth-round draft pick in April. If Vilma reaches certain playtime incentives and signs a contract extension with New Orleans, New York would instead receive a second- or third-round pick in 2009. The Jets would then give the Saints their fourth-round pick next year. Jets trade linebacker Jonathan Vilma to Saints for draft pick - NFL - Yahoo! Sports |
Re: Small school mock draft
That was a confusing trade though, because it was originally misreported. It had me wondering (along with a lot of other members) which of the various reports was accurate.
