Payton, General Manager Mickey Loomis and company made their second crack at plugging the cracks. Some of the acquisitions hold more risk than others.

Jonathan Vilma and Dan Morgan will be the high-risk, high-reward players to watch come training camp.

Vilma may be the best middle linebacker this organization has seen since Sam Mills. He's that good. Patrick Willis good, if healthy.

( Or Darren McFadden may drop to the Saints and this whole theory may be dead in the water. Anyone up for trading Bush if that happens? )
