Re: Gleason Officially Retired
.. gonna miss that #37 flying down the field. As WHODATNJ said, the image of him cutting through the Falcons' line and blocking that punt is going to live forever in the memories of the Saints fans who saw it and lived the moment.
On a side note, kind of surprising, of all the plays made by players that are and have been Saints, from Manning, to Hilliard, Martin, Jackson, Mills, Deuce, just to name a few, the 3 plays that will always be remembered by Saints fans are plays made by role players on special teams: the opening KO for a TD by Gilliam, Milne falling on Az-Hakim's muff, and Gleason's blocked punt. |

But you are right, that play is and will be one of the most remembered plays as well |

And that crazy escape and needle thread TD throw AB made against San Fran. He got away from 4-5 defenders on that one. Too bad that ability was not displayed much after his first year splitting time with Blake.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him become some kind of assistant one of these days.

Wow .... only 7 years in the league ... his body must really be beat up or something ...Look at Fast Freddie ... he lasted way longer as a special teamer.
