Saints cut ties with Deuce(APRIL FOOLS JOKE)
 

NEW ORLEANS -- Two-time Pro Bowl runningback Deuce McAllister was released by the New Orleans Saints Tuesday morning.

The Saints decided to part ways with McAllister after he failed a physical on March 29th. McAllister, 29, is recovering from surgery on both of his knees in late September. The two sides had previously agreed to push back a $1 million roster bonus from March 15 to April 15 to give the team a better chance to gauge his health before making any financial decisions, but the Saints finally decided to part ways with the oft-injured runningback from Mississippi.

"Deuce did a really good job for us in past years," Saints coach Sean Payton said in a statement. "But we are excited about the young runningbacks that have developed over the last year. We wish Deuce all the best. He's a true team player on and off the field."

Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis declined to expand on the decision.

we all hoped for a better out come, but in the back of our minds we knew this was going to happen. It would be nice to see him work in the front office.
Thanks you duce for everything you did for the saints and the city of New Orleans. A class act. See you in the saints hall of fame.

So this begs the question..............WHO DO WE DRAFT!!!!!!!!! Oh Boy Oh Boy could we trade up for Mcfadden? Or down for Mehndenhall? I assure you Payton will draft skill in the first round so this will be intresting, because he likes to pick BPA, and not need most of the time.

LoL... i didnt even realize it was april first till right after midnight and i was looking on an LSU website and someone mentioned it.. so i had to do something to u guys.. the obvious thing was deuce and it was really believeable b/c it really could happen in a few weeks away..

thank you thank you... after i decided i was going to do it.. it took me about 20 mins to actually get it to that lvl of believeability. i searched on the net for an article about another player who had been cut and changed alot of it up to make it look like it was deuce..

I was tired and vulnerable.
I nearly called my son in Alaska (I split custody) to give him the sad news that our favorite Saint........
The Saint that signed so many autographs for my boy.
The Saint that posed for pics with my son day after day following camp.
The Saint that after rehab one day during camp PULLED my son over the gate for a chat because my (7-year-old) son yelled that Deuce was his favorite player.

I did'nt call my son.
I had 3 Chivas and sodas and then hit refresh on my browser.
