Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports the New Orleans Saints will meet with University of Tulane RB Matt Forte next week.

ssmitty I was the one that likes him. He's a true downfield runner. Possibly someone that we could take in the 3rd round.

What's not to like he is 6' 2 225# Excellent leader,hard working , smart, all around athlete,durable, not a fumbler,willing and strong blocker,good vision,powerful runner. It pains me to say this since he is a Greenie, but i hope we pick him. I think he goes late 2nd early 3rd rd.

I can't blame Chicago for loving him so much. Their running back situation is horrible right now. Cedric Benson is a complete joke, they should have never let Thomas Jones walk away. If Forte is available to the Saints in the 3rd round it is probably a no brainer, the 2nd round at the spot the Saints are drafting would be a major reach.

I say we trade down with Philly and get Lito then trade down with the Giants and get Shockey and draft Forte in round 2. This may be a cap nightmayer but at least we wouldn't be paying pick #10 money there.

We get 3 starters with 2 picks. Sounds good to me. Make it happen.
