this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Speed does kill ... but if you got rock hands, doesn't do much good ....if Devery is not cut this year, this should be his last year for sure in B&G, unless the Saints pick up another Colston in Round ...

I think that Devery and Meachem are basically fighting for the #2 WR job. I don't think Patten will be our number two WR all year. He might start out #2 but in the end I think Payton will want a more dynamic player like Meach or Dev to play opposite Colston.
Why would the loser of the #3 WR battle be cut? Why not cut one of the WRs on the bottom of the depth chart? |

Epically since Henderson did not sign for a boat load of money. Every one knows I am not a member of fan club, never have been. But as a three or a 4 his contract is ok. So keeping him would not get me all mad. I would have to buy a few extra beers for the drops and poor blocking. This guy may owe me a part of liver or kidney.

LOL, that is so true! Devery could drive a monk to drink. But yeah, his contract is really cap friendly. I think Dev would be a better fit as a four WR that could come in and make a few big plays in multiple receiver sets.
