Key FA's still available
 

Takeo Spikes and Kevin Jones are still roaming the free agency market... Anybody for signing these guys to see what they have left in the tank?

Everyone seems to be worried about Deuce, but I am comfortable with our 4 HB's and Karney, so I'd say no to Jones.

With Spikes, I think we are already trying the hurt, veteran LB gamble with Vilma & Morgan.

That said, their signing could definitely affect the draft. A team signing Jones could cause Rice or Stewart to drop. Who knows with Spikes?

Have you seen whats left of the FA RB and LBs? Not much else. Im looking on nfl.com draft tracker and its showing Marion hasn't signed his RFA tender. Is someone trying to get him? Also, if we had to get a LB right now out of FA, I would go after Larry Izzo. Mans a really good special teams player.

I wouldn't describe a ST player as a "key" free agent. Whatever, I'm just being nit-picky because I have nothing else to do and draft day wont get here fast enough!!!! :rolleyes:

Yeah I am the same way. But I wasn't meaning Izzo to be a key free agent. I was just looking through and seeing who I would want on our team. Since Gleason left we need another one.

I brought up signing Kevin Jones right after the Lions dropped him and got bashed for it. I still think KJ would be a perfect fit for our offense and would be an instant upgrade over Deuce, Steck, and PT. I say no to Spikes because he's old and washed up.
