i think Minnesota would be the most likely to move, just my two cents

I've heard San Diego possibly. In all the reports on this the Saints have never been mentioned.

I still don't see or hear anything about the Saints coming to town here. The only talk that happens is about the Chargers might move here with some contrat dispute in SD... they want a new stadium BADLY. The problem with that is this is Raider country here and Chargers and Raiders have a good rival going... well that could be a good thing I guess. Getting both teams to play here would be nice.

I guess if we end up with Ellis instead of Dorsey I'd say worry. LOL.

How many teams do you have to loose before the city is considered a failure for pro football? the heck with LA being the 2nd largest market in TV. It has not amounted to much when it comes to keeping a team.

This is a great point... the problem is that this is a Raider town. Already allianced with a team. Thats why I think either an expansion team or the Chargers could make it here... anyone else will struggle. There is just so much to do here in LA that going to see them play live, will fill like a burden if they lose.

Besides some people will have you believe that we already have a professional football team... USC TROJANS.

How about the article that was linked in this very thread. It says:

The one obvious obstacle standing in the way is a tenant for the new stadium. Possibilities might include the New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings and San Diego Chargers because of their stadium uncertainties.

That doesn't amount to much, but the Saints are an obvious target. Don't ignore the possibility. Hopefully, the team is not the preferred choice.

I also strongly agree that a city that at one time had two franchises and watched both leave clearly cannot support one and further doesn't deserve one.

When is the Saints' deal with the state up?
Personally, with all of the blue tarps on roofs still out there, I don't think Louisiana should be sending an owner of a a sports team money, but that's another matter all together.

Anyway, as someone else posted, we are not on the short list, and we have heard this all before.

saints wont move to LA.....we are becoming a solid force in the nfc and they mean too much to new orleans....if ne team moves....look for it to be a very weak afc team....one that cant contend with the pats and the colts and dare i say...THE BROWNS

No way the Saints move to Los Angeles. The Saints have solidified themselves as a Louisiana product, period. We will hear this talk for years to come but don't forget one of the biggest things that held the city together in desperate times, THE NEW ORLEANS SAINTS!

The state will find the money because they realize how much revenue the Saints bring to state and New Orleans area.

Re: Here we go again ... Los Angeles may lure Saints!

I second and third the notion of a LA team. I lived there for 6 years and the culture there is not going to support a team that loses or has losing periods while they rebuild. The Lakers are "the" team in LA just as the Saints are to us. LA is a "culture to impress." They won't associate themselves with losers. Instead the city rally's around the hot team in CA at any given time...Lakers, Angels, Ducks, 49ers, Chargers, USC, etc. The type of sport doesn't matter much. An NFL team can't succeed long-term in LA no matter how big the TV market is.
