Grant was injured, so he gets a pass from me. There were alot of underachievers on defense. Jason David, Josh Bullocks, Mark Simoneau, Scott Shanle, Charles Grant (injured), Brian Young, Hollis Thomas, & yes...Will Smith. They were all overpaid for their performances last year. However, Jason David stunk up the Dome worse than Fred Thomas after receiving a hefty contract. Oh yeah....& David did it while completely healthy!

Reggie is the highest paid on the team i think and he hasnt really produced and if ur gonna go with the hurt excuse , charles grant who has had some very good seasons was too

Judging from last year's performance, it's Jason David and it's not even close. However, he'll rebound this year and prove a lot of people wrong... including me.

Im going to go out on a limb and say that our most overpaid player is either reggie or duece...duece is a starter on any team in my mind but with his injury issues hes only hurting our team....sadly i think his glory days are over and we need to move on.....on the other hand there is reggie who was the most over-hyped player in recent draft history and so far has fallen under the "BUST" category....now before i etch his name in stone there i think if sean can get reggie back into the returner and swing pass mindset then he will turn out to be well worth the pick.

Reggie combined yardage in 2006 make him a bust? Give me a break. He was not drafted to be the featured back. He is the best at what he does and that is not between the tackles.
Grant over paid? Have you guys seen some the contracts signed this year by lesser? After next year Grant will be bargain no matter how well he plays.
David was there.
Fred Thomas gets my vote. Got a couple of million to make sure the water boy had cups!

Jason David beyond a doubt. What were they thinking when the got Him. When I heard and saw Him on the field I thought it was laughable. Still think we can use Him for a Trick play while an offensive limeman is being engaged and standing up Jason can run between His legs to get to the opposing quarterback.

It's got to be Jason David. Yes, Grant has a bigger contract in terms of gross dollars, but he also has more productivity on the field to justify it. And yes, he was injured last year, but played through the injury, so I give him a pass for last season. He stinks it up again this year and I'll change my opinion.

But it has to be David. Here's a guy making, what, $5 million a year? Something like that? And he gives up 10 touchdowns in a single season that can be directly attributed to him blowing a coverage? This guy blows, and he's not worth his contract. He should be getting the league minimum based on his performance last season.

Jason David owes the Saints about 10 touchdowns since he gave them all away last season!!!! Charles grant could move to DT if we dont get Dorsey and we may be able to draft gholston even tho i dont like him
