can you say lito?
here's how it stands right now.
if albert is there at 10, the saints should be able to deal with philly for lito. forget the 11th spot, cause all the saints need to do is advise the eagles they are taking albert, which they very much may do anyway.... if in fact the eagles have targeted him, it's looking very good for a trade at the moment.............. Re: can you say lito?
i dont want lito sheppard.. he was a good cb but i think he is on the downside of his career and hasnt been able to stay healthy for a full season.. not worth the money he is demanding

look i know he is only 27 but the guy hasnt stayed healthy for the past 3 years with injuries to the knee and ankles... its hard to for a corner to keep that same ability with injuries to those areas... the probablility of him staying healthy after multiple leg injures isnt likely... that combined with him also wanting a new deal outweigh the good in my eyes... |
Re: can you say lito?
I agree with the injury thing and i agree with the salary thing...but none of his injuries have been major issues and we dont even know what his salary demands will be. He has averaged about 11-12 games per season the past few years with minor injuries with the group we have, having him for 12 games would make us much better. Plus, i like the idea of getting a guy who knows the NFL and has a proven track record just for moving down a few spots as opposed to drafting someone who is just a question mark. You dont know how any of these guys translate to the NFL and we have no idea how injury prone they will be. I am for the trade because moving down isnt that big of deal to me and we would be getting a proven commodity in the process.

Re: can you say lito?
So true Boba. Lito has his issues but if we do trade for him the Eagles have already absorbed alot of contract hit. so cap wise the risk is good. If he is a head case and wants big big bucks we can always turn him loose after 2011 and let him walk. Or work a trade after a year. I really do not see a great risk with him except minor injuries and in the front office. Besides it gets us out of over paying a player at 10 that is not worth it. One hand washes the other
