he will go to new orleans if he goes to nebody....the giants like shockey and would only trade him if the price is right....the saints are a better fit for him because of all the passing we do...it looks like the seahawks are going to be more of a running team this year even tho i think hasselback has the talent to incorporate shockey in their offense

John Murphy, of Yahoo! Sports, reports a proposed deal that would send New York Giants TE Jeremy Shockey to the New Orleans Saints is not yet a dead issue, according to several league sources. The Giants are looking to acquire the Saints' second-round pick (No. 40 overall) and S Roman Harper. The Saints have seemed willing to move the draft pick, but have held back on putting Harper into any type of trade discussion.

Harper is going to be a solid safety...i cant see us getting rid of him

They can give the Giants the 40th pick and Devery Henderson for Shockey. Keep Roman Harper.

A second... I can't see the justifacation in that at all. A second and bodies??? WTF. Tell the Giants don't call unless they was to be serious. A 3rd and that is it, no other picks no bodies. A 3rd and that is being generous, the only reason for that is because we don't have a 4th or that would be the only offer.

It'll help us in negociations once we trade that second to move up.

I feel the exact same way, I'm like you just don't want to give too much for the guy. I believe he is still a good player, and he still has some good years left in him. I just think he needs a change of scenery.

why trade roman and the 2nd for shockey? if we want a tight end that bad just draft keller with the 2nd rounder and keep roman. that way we get a TE with the pick and keep roman, it makes no sense. i cant help but think that our FO is thinking that way. what im scared of is keller being drafted before #40 and our FO panics and gives into the giants demands.

a second is BS! NO WAY. If we do that then I'll buy the domain fireseanpayton.com because it will only be a matter of time. We got to build up our D generate pass rush with that pick.

I agree with Euph a third straight up, if not no big loss. If they think hes that good why dont they keep him. Yea Boss looked like a pretty decent TE, decent, that's what is gonna take Shockeys job? Decent is a third rounder!!!!!!!
