yeah. good thing I'm off work tomorrow. 4:41am here in metairie and I can't get to sleep. I'm going to try and crash and wake up 30 minutes before the draft, thatll work.

For the past couple hours on Sirius, theyve been talking non-stop about the Shockey trade. They seem to think its going to happen and will be announced just before the draft starts. But in addition to the 2nd pick we might have to give up a condition pick next year, like 3rd pick next year if Shockey has X amount of receptions kind of thing. Philly is is also seriously still trying to unload Sheppard, so this could get really interesting for us.

Wow... I wish I had sirius. re they saying the shockey trde to us for sure or just to anyone? TB still in the lead for lito?

Shockey will be to us, and to quote NFL Radio, its "all but official" so i think it will happen. They arent being specific about Sheppard, just that we are "dangling Jammal Brown out there". And they speculate that if we traded for Sheppard then we would then try to trade him for a early pick to get Glenn Dorsey. But its getting a little late for that to pan out.

They just talked about the Sheppard trade again and i guess there trying to get pick 2-5 with either Brown or Sheppard. Basically using either player as bait to get Dorsey. So if thats the case then they must have some verbal agreement with Philly, should a trade pan out. This is purely speculation though. And theyre saying that Saints is highly attractive for Shockey cus we pass alot and Shockeys main complaint is his blocking duties verses receiving. But Giants are holding out for at least on more pick but i think theyll cave if it gets down to the wire.

I agree, and so does NFL Radio. They said Shockey is only worth a 2nd pick, due to being prone to injury.

They just said that New England is trying to trade out and we are talking to them but that wont get us Dorsey, maybe Rivers though. And it looks like Rams are pretty dead set on getting Dorsey now. So might be a no deal. How is Brown going to feel about the staff being let out to dangle like that?? Though we might go after Rivers?
