i think if jenkins is available we might trade up to get him.....if not we will pick a TE in round 2.....i hope we draft a CB.....i might go crazy if we dont draft a CB AGAIN

DAMN i really wanted mike jenkins.. i'm not big on flowers.. he is very physical jamming at the line and all but i much prefer jenkins measurables..

CRAPPPPP!!!!!! Brandon Flowers is taken by the Chiefs. That guy is a stud and I was hoping he'd drop to us at 40. Curtis Lofton, Dan Connor, and Erin Henderson still on the board.

So much talent left on the board at 40 for us... I hope we land King, Connor, or Groves here. That would make my draft.

This is going to be an awesome offseason for us... I love the talent in this draft.

As much as I question this pick (who the hell is Tracy Porter???), I do think that he's a guy that will fit our system. He's fast as hell (ran a 4.37) and is apparently a very good cover corner. For what it's worth, he was the best CB on ESPN's board when he was chosen. Also, here's a bit of his scouting report from ESPN:

Porter lacks good strength and needs to become more physical, both versus the run and in coverage. However, he is a quick-twitched athlete capable of blanketing wide receivers in man-to-man coverage.

I agree from what I have heard he is man 2 man and pretty much a blazer.. which does fit our system. I am quickly warming up to this pick. I hate not having another pick until round 5 now..

porter ran a 4.29 at his pro day.. best cover man 2 man skills in all of the draft. i think the saints know exactly what is up.
