Sapper, you see they got us taking a Golden Eagle, don't you? McRath could be a nice replacement for Shanle.

Boley, AT, McRath...Southern Miss is the new Linebacker U!

Want me to rub the ball ok lets see what we get.

saints come through the season injury free and the OL is loaded with players that can play. Alleman and Bushrod take over the left side of the line.
results Brown goes to RT. 10-6 and pick #27 again:

Round 1 top 3 so far

FS, William Moore, Missouri, 6010, 230, 4.42
OLB Anthony Heygood, Purdue, 6020, 230, 4.51
RB - Keiland Williams*, LSU, 5110, 233, 4.44

We lose our second for Vilma

Round 3 top 3 :
(Faine nets us a third in the supplemental)

DT - Nader Abdallah, Ohio State, 6050, 310, 4.95
OLB - Jonathan Casillas, Wisconsin, 6020, 237, 4.52
OC - Jonathan Luigs, Arkansas, 6040, 305, 5.28

2 4ths, 5th, 7th.

Yeah brother, I noticed. SWEET!

Man, from what I've heard about the spring game...USM should be outstanding this year.

Are you going to any of the home games this year. If so we will have to meet up.

Yeah, the reports from the B&G game sound promising. It sounds like Fletcher has made some strides this offseason, and I really want to see the 5* receiver and Fedora's offense. We should be pretty good.

I usually try to make it to at least one homegame, but it always tough to plan out coming from B'ham. September 6th I will be in Auburn, though. I wouldn't miss us beat them for the world.

I'll shoot you a message when I know something.

I don't know how a mock draft can be done for next year. I mean who would have thought that the Giants would have picked last this year. It is way to early to do these mocks.

this is all I know
we got Vilma for a fourth this year

This is how I understand the condition:
1) If he never sees the field or gets carted off with "The knee" injuried as a career ender. Thats all we loss. A fourth
2) He plays so many games ( thats the question, how many?) and performs well but does not sign with us and is still able to play, we loss a 3rd.
3) He plays that mystery number of games, performs well and signs with us, we lose the 2nd in next years draft.

Now plays at what level(?), I am sure is part of the deal. I hate these kind of deals. You never really get a clear explanation (lawyers geeezzz). But a player like Vilma is worth it.

I read an interview with Loomis before the draft and he said that he was not ready to disclose the conditions of the trade at this time. I'll try to find a link, but either way, details of this trade are speculative at this point.

We definitely gave up our 4th this year, and there are conditions of the trade that may effect the 09 draft. That is all that has officially been said to this point.

Here's the quote:

You said you used your fourth-round pick on Vilma. Is there another condition to that trade?

Mickey Loomis: There are some conditions that would take place after the season and into next year’s draft. I’d rather not disclose those at this time, but if they happen they’ll become evident.
It came from scouts insider via the rev.
