Joe Horn
Joe Horn request a trade. Sez he can't help Falclowns win a super bowl just playing on third down.
. Horn, who has been removed from the starting lineup in favor of Laurent Robinson, says he doesn't want to be a "just-in-case guy" for Atlanta. The 36-year-old has very little left to offer and is more likely to be cut, so no teams will be falling over themselves to get him. Horn's due $2.5 million in 2008. As per NFL Radio 2 min drill. LOL Do the Saints want him back. LOL |
Re: Joe Horn
Make history and trade him to the CFL.

Re: Joe Horn
Why would you trade for and Old Dawg. When you can draft a young one one and teach him new tricks.

Re: Joe Horn
CFL? Can't Find Love?...poor joe he was a good saint until the end when he decided to go to ATLANTA...
|
Re: Joe Horn
Maybe no on cares, but does Joe Horn still own a home in New Orleans? I saw Joe at the club on the night the Hornets beat the Spurs in game 2. I was just curious since you guys brought his name up.

Re: Joe Horn
if money talks....then it's telling Joe Horn to find a job.
Cause Joe knows his playing days are just about done. |
Re: Joe Horn
Maybe he can become the Saints receiving coach :)
|
Re: Joe Horn
I would hate to see Horn wear a Saints uniform again. The main reason is if he did, that would mean the Saints got nailed by injuries. On a serious note, he would probably be an excellent addition to the coaching staff. I know Joe went to Atlanta and that pretty bad, but I do hate to see him go down this way. Another example of an athlete hanging around a little too long.

Re: Joe Horn
the whole atlanta thing really killed him for me :\
i'd take him as a coach though...i guess. |
Re: Joe Horn
if he gets cut I would love to have him for league minimum

Re: Joe Horn
Horn is done, completely IMO...
He did his thing for a few years in N.O but that's all behind him now, I can see a team signing him but he won't be a starter, he just doesn't have it anymore, and forget about him making 2.5 mil. a year, no team in their right mind will give him the big pay checks. |
Re: Joe Horn
I think he burned his bridges with Payton. Even though he couldn't play, he was mouthing off after the championship game about not getting a game-day roster spot. Then he can go anywhere, or even stay but he goes to Atl?
|
Re: Joe Horn
Before Joe left I was on the bandwagon for Him to go and blow his Horn somewhere else. He is a nice enough guy and a good football player that did show toughness, although I never considered Him the NO 1. reciever even in His Prime. With his mouth I was glad to see Him go. That being said overall I feel He did contribute especially early on and always spoke highly of us fans and seemed to love our city. For that He gets an "A" from me but no way would I want Him back even as a coach he would find a way to let His mouth overload His "A".

Re: Joe Horn
I say give him a one day contract and let him retire as a Saint...
|
Re: Joe Horn
.. who is this Joe Horn y'all talking about?
|
Re: Joe Horn
I'd be willing to bet he's not hiding his cellphone under a goalpost pad right about now. He's probably sitting with it on a table in front of him, watching it in ever-increasing worry as it continues it's silence.
|
Re: Joe Horn
I think he would be cut, and might find a team like the Titans, so he can help a young QB.

Re: Joe Horn
I can almost agree with Dub Saint and if he wants to return to New Orleans, it can be in some other capacity than on the playing field. He's getting his payola so he can just suck it up this season and earn it with the Falcons and decide afterward what he wants to do.
He had the chance to further the Saints' cause last year but he thought the road to Super Bowl Heaven was paved red, black and green. But the Messiah got the nix by Roger Pilate even before the journey beagn. I say if he wants to play and still has one or two halfway competent years left, he leaves his agents at home and gets down to contributing to the team. But otherwise, I can definitely see him teaching the younger squads the tricks od the trade. |
