colston continues on course.......

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; doesnt matter if we resign him or not.. he will be a restricted FA and im sure we will place a 1st n 3rd tender on him, and would quickly match any offer that any team made to him......

I thought that the UFA compensation picks were based on where a player was drafted, which would not be good for the Saints.

Plus, it doesn't need to get to that point. He is busting ass for the team, if he doesn't get a new contract before the season starts... Colston many be humble, but in that situation everyone he knows from his Momma on down is going to be screaming "To hell with the Saints, they are using you, get out of there and get paid." We don't need that crap being whispered in his ear all year.

"Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so." -- Douglas Adams.

LOL i am not to worried about this. This FO seem to know who to pay and who to cut. In the old days i would say the saints would mess this up.
One of the group of RFA will be signed before the tagging peroid begins. will smith is the key UFA to sign also. It is going to be an expensive off season in 2009.
Don't worry colston mama will be happy soon

Just got back home from school, but I have to go back in a couple of weeks for summer school. What's going on in Boston, are we still doing fantasy football this year?
