Re: Falcons | Team waives FS Wolfe
He was moved from corner to strong safety for his senior season and put in a fantastic year, with 87 tackles (52 solo, 35 assists, 5 TFL), four interceptions, four pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries. He was named second-team All-Big 12 by both the conference's coaches and by the Associated Press, and he received first-team accolades from the Kansas City Star and Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Wolfe reportedly had some struggles with getting burned in coverage at Senior Bowl practices, which shows why he might be much better suited to stay at safety and why he currently grades out as a middle-round pick, at best. Can't hurt. |
